[QUOTE="DanielDust"]At the end of Crysis they left the island, don't you think it would be a bit stupid if they move on to another island? I see some of you that complain about how they ended up with the story and how the game progressed so far, maybe if you'd stop to actually think you'd see that what you ask for is exactly the kind of problem you're questioning.

Erm they did ? That isn't the impression I got from the ending if anything it looked like they were going back to the island to find Prophet. I guess they will use a clever little cutscene to explain that all away.
As for Crysis 2 there won't be enough content in it to justify buying the game at full price (there was barely enough in the openish sandbox world of Crysis). So this is another game I am going to shove on my wishlist and just buy for a fiver in the steam sales
Maybe I should replay it, but I remember that they recovered Prophet or he returned, if they didn't he's obviously "gone", dead, his suit wouldn't save him from that "freeze" pulse, nothing would. It's stupid to go to another island, it makes more sense to go into a city. Crysis is not a tropical/jungle warfare game, yes we all like how it looked but should it be limited to just that? nope, Crytek could have taken Crysis 2 200 years in the future when earth is controlled by aliens and the humans are slaves, then suddenly the resistance manages to fabricate a super suit and you go after the main alien that controls all, even that would make more sense than going back to the jungle, and Crytek would have all the excuses/reasons to do so.
That sounds alot like Half Life 2 and i think that they should continue the story of the original. *SPOILER* At the end of Crysis you receive transmission of Prophet from the island. So you (Nomad) And Psycho decide to go back onto the island and rescue Prophet and stop the aliens once and for all. This should have been Crysis 2 but instead they seem to have ditched the original story and replaced it with a bleak yet colorful New York being terrorised by totally different aliens. Somehow the Koreans or other military force are inside new York at war with the Americans and the aliens. This seems like too much of a jump for a sequel. Also everyone who played the original didn't go "oh the tropical setting is terrible I want to be confined to a major city and the aliens were awesome I loved them the most add more of those".
I did enjoy Warhead didn't think it was anywhere close to its predecessor in terms of graphics or story but it was enough. I also didn't like the 3rd person cut scenes, this was a disconnect from my character.
Crysis 2 seems to be making changes because of the console market and most PC gamers feel betrayed. Crysis was exclusive to PC gamers it made us feel like we had something that the consoles couldn't have. It was a PC exclusive that Console gamers wanted and Crytek instead of focusing on a sequel to the original created a completely different game with a nano suit that all console an Pc gamers could enjoy which has left the PC audience confused. But this is Crytek's decision and they should stand behind their decisions, but as a fan of the original I think they're making the wrong ones.
