I was incredibly disappointed in it. THe story made zero sense and the story from the first game was thrown out the window. I think the MP is a ghost town at this point, it never really was popular to begin with.
I enjoyed it, but i played it on console and have not had any prior expierience with the Crysis series as my pc had not been able to run it. Anyway, i really enjoyed it and thought that the campaign was really fun and unique to play through. I only got this expierience because i beat it on supersoldier (that's what makes it really fun and challenging; gotta think things through and stealth a lot more). However, while i did really enjoy the multiplayer for a time being (pretty innovative and they did a good job managing classes and suit perks), the servers were trash. That is likely just an xbox thing though so you don't have to worry about it. I really enjoyed this game and i think it is definitely worth 20 bucks, that is, if you are into games like it. If not, you could probably find a better game. As far as FPS go, i found it enjoyable, to say the least.

And yes, it's definetely worth it, the campaign is pretty cool, it's fairly lengthy and it's really entertaining.. The story is much better as well (Crysis and FarCry had some of the worst plots I've ever seen in an FPS).

low fov by default(Consolization) really dumb story tries to be MW2 and fails (making everything all epic, BF3 sp also suffers this) gunplay is very average nanosuit sucks no good leaning, their implementation of a basic function is a joke (consolization) not related to crysis at all

It was very, very, very, bad. It was pretty much a failed sci-fi version of MW2. A 6 hour linear unoriginal interactive movie with piss poor MP mode.
I suppose none of you guys play the ground breaking mods being released for Crysis 2. If the game isn't worth $20 then the mods certainly make it worth it

When you put it up against most other FPS games at the moment, you've honestly probably have payed more for worse. I apologize if I was a little aggressive, but as a PC gamer, I still dislike the attacks on consoles and listening to consolization/dumbing-down arguments that are thrown to and fro on this board. And I am still allowed to feel disappointed with Crysis, but say that Crysis 2 for $20 is quite a decent buy because when you look at it, it is actually isn't that bad of a purchase. The latter is the main idea I wish to communicate.
story-wise don't try and make sense of it because it doesn't, in any credible way, link to the first game or attempt to explain anything that happened previously.
gameplay-wise it could be argued it's a step backwards from crysis in that it's more linear, but don't worry it's nothing close to being call of duty-like linear. the game does a good job of disguising this linearity in its thoughtful level design.
despite it not being the sequel i was hoping for it still was one of my favourite games from last year. i say buy, buy, buy :D
Depends how much more Crysis you want. I found it to be competently made, but terribly underwhelming and dull for a game that was a follow up to Crysis and Warhead. The online I imagine is either dead or tiny. Buy Warhead instead of you have played Crysis.
I honestly felt Crysis 2 was much more memorable then Crysis 1.. The environments were far better imo then the generic palm tree forests you trudged through for the first 2/3rds of the game.. And the character and story was far more entralling (at least to me) then what Crysis 1 provided.. Furthermore Crysis 2 was cool for the same reasons why Condemend 1 was great.. Alot of unanswered questions that through the perspective of the main character you should really never know about.. Its that mindset that kept me going in wanting to learn more about it.. Combat wise I prefered it the suit just felt effective.. Armor in Crysis 1 was more less dumb.. It hardly made you feel powerful to what they provided for instnace.. Overall I prefered the city setting far more then Crysis 1, and I actually prefered the visuals of the second in the majority of the areas compared to the first.. The aliens in the second also were far more gratifying to kill.. So hell yeah its worth $20... Crysis 1 and 2 both have great moments imo that were memorable.. The second undeniably had a far stronger and interesting narative then the first... The first had more impressive "set pieces" though.

It was Ok. It had occasional moments of awesomeness. Other moments not so much. I think mostly it lacked variety in the maps. But for $20 it is worth playing.

I just bought it for $30 and it was totally worth it. the graphics are the best i've seen in person on anything, ever. i'm not a fanboy either, i never played the first game. If you have a computer that can run it on max settings with DX11 and high res textures on you will be in for a treat.
The campaign is way shorter than i thought it would be. i thought it would be like a half life game length wise since the first one was a PC only game for so long. It was fun, the graphics are amazing and i loved the shooting mechanics and the added strategic element of your suit powers. the multiplayer is pretty fun too. totally a rip off of call of duty, but still very entertaining. it feels very much like "halo done right" without all of the campy cartoony art style. Sick game, best graphics i've ever seen if you're into that.

How was the second's voice acting any worse then the first? Furthermore Crysis 1's "story" was pretty nonexistent, with no character development or anything of that sort..
