Comparison between Crysis 3 and Modded Skyrim
Results: Modded Skyrim looks better, One thing i like about Crysis 3 is that the leaves aren't sprites, They are tessellated foliage, They move when interacted, Skyrim has sprites,
Also that butterfly was in first crysis so i expect it to be in Crysis 3 too along with crocs and toads.Â

neither the vegetation from skyrim were sprites nor the ones from your crysis3 pics were tessellated(tessellated vegetation will only be available at crysis3's SP such visual is a waste in MP and is bad for optimization) vegetation sprites is a dated technique(used whole alot in crysis1) to make distanced complex vege object into a flat sprites, so it will look the same weather you look at them from X,Y,Z direction, it was created for the sake of optimization. btw, your comparison is pretty bad. Â
result: those leaf from skyrim doesn't even look close to crysis2 vegetation on low setting. below are 2 very old pics I've taken with a GTX480. not even 1080p, it was before dx11 patch. same rendering technic. Â

those plants from your crysis3 pic is what called an assets, rendered by proper gemory, and those leafs from your skyrim pic is a layer of texture that can be attached to any alpha channel plane or another assets(the tree bark) one is fully dynimic, supports touch bending, physics and particle system from the engine, the other is dead paint I should point out, crytek's magic to creat jaw dropping graphics, is the ablity to create technology to build thousands unique looking assets. for instance, one of the best thing crysis1 ever did was buildt high ploygon plam tree and banana tree assets,
this is an example of tesslesated vegeation from crysis3, don't.... even....try.... to compare.Â
