Ocampo did it, well he loved Crysis so it's no surprise.
I just hope that it's not as actiony as he describes. TO me that sounds like the asssault mission from start to finish, assault was the one with the aircraft, explosions at night on the beach. While better than the end levels it was very inferior to the first 3 in my opinion. I don't need to have action constantly. I liked the pockets of resistance, gives you time to breathe, then you can survey the area and plan your approach, we will see.

Well, he says it's nowhere near COD4's mayhem.
To J-REAL: They won't optimise Crysis, the changes are too deep within the engine to be included in a patch. I don't know about the editor.

In an article I read, someone from Crytek said that they couldn't guarantee they would do a patch 1.3 after they were finished with Warhead, where they bring the optimizations of Warhead to Crysis (he implied that the reason had to do with how busy they might be with supporting Warhead and doing other things, if I remember right). In other words, it's possible that they will (because they seemingly would like to if they could). The way he said it, it certainly sounded like the prospect of optimizing Crysis to the level of Warhead was not an impossibility.

yeah I remember Cevat saying that they'll keep releasing patches for crysis, they're waiting for technology to catch up. We'll get the E3 experience yet.[QUOTE="Baranga"]To J-REAL: They won't optimise Crysis, the changes are too deep within the engine to be included in a patch. I don't know about the editor.

Im not buying it untill I see a patch 1.3 then.
[QUOTE="ZuluEcho14"][QUOTE="JnWycliffe"][QUOTE="ZuluEcho14"][QUOTE="PC360Wii"]You didnt actual read the review did you ...
JnWycliffe
Humm... no, actually I didn't  lol
But 9.4 out of 10 is absurd when they gave SoulStorm a 7 is heresy, and Gamespot was even worse.
maybe you should read the review, in that case. they make a lot of good points on it and explain how the game's different from crysis.
But it's 3 pages long:(
I'll read it some other time.
:P
but seriously, why are you cpmplaining about a review when you haven't even read it?
I'm not complaining about the review, I'm complaining about the score, I just don't see how it deserved a 9.4/10.
[QUOTE="ZuluEcho14"]"the point remains that there is not enoughcontent in what happened to Prophet to put it in a retail release."
Excuse me? The guy was taken anyway by an alien, and came back all of a sudden with a modiefied alien weapon that would have taken weaks or even months to modify and was in a big hurry to go back to the island alone, he is the one that knows more about the aliens and what is happening if you ask me.
JP_Russell
Weeks or months? The game from beginning to end takes place over the space of two days, for crying out loud. You start very early in the morning / very late at night. It doesn't become night again until the end of level 3. You then play through the second day, including going through the alien core, all the way until the aircraft carrier, where it is night again. Then the game ends. Two days. The only way it would be more than that is if you were supposedly also in the core for weeks or months, but it was in and out for Nomad, thus Prophet also did not spend more than about a day inside (and much less actually beginning his escape).
I didn't said Prophet took weeks or months to modify the weapon(if he even could) , I said he came back with an alien modified weapon that the guy in the arsenal room says would have taken months to modify, in (like you said) atleast one day.

From the review
"experiment with different approaches, like being completely stealthy and ninja-like"
And ZuluEcho14, you haven't even played the ****ing game, and your already calling it overrated?
[QUOTE="DragonfireXZ95"]I just pre-ordered it. I loved Crysis to death, and I'm sure this will be no exception!Elann2008
It would have been nice if they had a collector's edition for this. Crysis Warhead with Psycho action figure. I would pay big bucks for it.
Ohhhh, Todd McFarlane Crysis figures. That would be neat to see.

i know, but the score is a reflection of the review. how can you say that you don't see how it deserved a 9.4/10 when you haven't even read the review. if you want to know how it deserved a 9.4/10, then read the review; until then, it's pointless to complain about the score.

Heck yeah. :D
Oh how I wish this was on steam...death1505921
It was just announced that Warhead and Crysis will be coming to Steam. :D
The five hour remark worries me a little. I thought I heard that this was going to be only a little shorter than Crysis. I took my sweet time with that game and I still think it went by quickly. The reviewer did say he "powered through" Warhead so hopefully it will last longer for me. Herrick
Well, Jason said "he" took 5-hours. He probably zoomed right through it for the review or something. Who knows right? It may take us 6-7hrs, maybe more. I'm looking forward to finding out though. ;)
PRONS
areas are better and bigger better perfomance ang graphics
the new stuff
CONS
the fact is cheaper doesnt mean anything good since its 5 hours
the combat it still stupid one shot and shield is off
only thow new vehicles and two guns
the grenade laucher is too back up the crappy rocketlauncher
so just a small cheap experience should be an expansion pack than a stand alone
9.4 for 5 hours DUH!
WHATS the use of a shield that gets disabled with one shot? none!
also ai never mises even from miles away so i feel kinda like crytek thinks we are idiots and cant see that our armored shielded character takes alot of damage while unarmored koreans take few damage and do nothing more that moving and hitting you from miles away without missing so what could be more challenging? that unfairness orshould i say crapiness is the only thing that makes it challenging i ai and combat, am sorry but if i have a halo suit i rather feel shielded, and not like wearing a halloween suit just to look badass while its completly useless in terms of protection and superiocity against the koreans or am gonna dress up like a korean and be tougher!
no dude you dont get it only 5 hours and 9.4? ok screw the score but 5 hours? sounds like cod4, eg more action 5 hours seriously know 5 hours? painfull isnt it? how long crysis "prophecy" will be 3 hours? one new weapon the moac freeze ray?thenewau25
i don't understand its only £15/£30 what are you complaining about. would you rather it be £30/$60 like call of duty 4 with the same gameplay. plus you can make your own maps and play other single player user made maps.
wait wait wait hold on a second - u can make ur own maps in Warhead? if so, things just got a whole lot better fer me. Can't wait for this to come out.
And plz try to ignore thenewau25. He's the gamer equivelant of a jihadist against Crysis.

 so your comparing Halo's 1 shield bar to Crysis' Shield AND Health bar? ... well that makes sense... oh wait.
