Be grateful? You act as though they are giving it to us for free. PC gamers, stop acting like this is not a business and you are not customers. They would not be doing this if there was not a profit in it, they are not doing it as a goodwill gesture.A port they decided to do because of a fan made petition. They did not plan on doing it. They did not need to do it.
Even if it's unoptimized they are working hard to bring it to PC. Be greatful because honestly it's enough of a smash hit to not even need to touch the PC market.

Some fans made a petition...some...yeah?Just some...Let me...not act like a **** beggar and not question what is given to me...you may do so if you please...But i play on PC because it has high standards which can never be achived on console...and i dont want a piece of **** port...ok?
Let me ,let them know...that the majority of pc gamers want quality products...and if they cannot deliver they can shove their game where the sun dont shine...we(the other ones who didnt sign the petition)have the same right to make our opinion know and heard...
Let me ...let them know that we are not retards that have saliva coming out of our mouths and we dont not buy every pice of **** that they put out...
We know what quality is and we demant it...by giving us quality game they show us respect...let me be an **** who demands respect(from devs) and dont turn me in to a **** beggar...Ok?Thank you
P.S> And speak for yourself and be greatful when it comes to ur own persona...dont speak for others and do not try to take away the right to demand quality products...You may have a standard when it comes to games...so do i...i respect them and i choose the games i buy and play based on that...
You sure that's not saliva foaming out of your mouth?I really hope you don't think console games can't achieve the standards a PC one can.
Ive been a PC owner for over 20 years. I have also owned many consoles during that time. I can tell you from experience that a LOT of console games are the same or higher quality then a TON of PC games.
Not once in my posts did I speak for anyone but myself. Not once did I try to take your "rights" from you ( lol ). You can go ahead and demand all you want! That is your right. Don't worry I won't come to your house and stop you. Really. I won't.
Every time you post on these boards it amazes me how ignorant a human you are. I'm sure most people here know this by now as well.
P.S. You need a serious reality check.
P.S.S. Most beggars I've ran into sound smarter then you.
Consoles games CANNOT reach the max quality that PC games can performance/graphics-wise. There is a huge difference between making this statement and countering it with a "I can tell you from experience that a LOT of console games are the same or higher quality then a TON of PC games." And vice versa back at ya dude. You can go back and forth with that crap all day long. The fact is, Mr. "I'm a 20 year PC gamer" intent on defending consoles to the death, the PC is a superior gaming platform. There is nothing wrong with acknowledging that FACT, it is why a video card on a high end pc cost more than an entire console system, it should be superior. Furthermore, that poster did not insult you so your insults to him were out of line. If you cannot debate without personal attacks it shows that you are talking out of your butt.[QUOTE="Prexxus"]Be grateful? You act as though they are giving it to us for free. EXACTLY, they want a QUICK PROFIT by releasing it ASAP without fixing anything (their words).
Hopefully it backfires in their face and they learn...
[QUOTE="Mr_Ditters"][QUOTE="Elann2008"] You're absolutely wrong. PC hardware doesn't handle poorly optimized games by Brute Force. Maybe you should coin that phrase yourself, but don't spread it around here. Didn't GTA IV teach you anything? Assassin's Creed games had horrid frame dips. No GTX 580 or GTX 680 out there can make a game run at 60fps+ consistently by "brute force." Whoever taught you that, is dead wrong. And I'm not going to be an apologetic fanboy. I'm going to call it like I see it. If reviews come out and most users report that the game runs fine. I will buy it. If it doesn't, then I'm not going to purchase. That's really up to me.Elann2008
Funny you should say that. I am installing GTA4 as we speak. The gripe I have with GTA4 is that it is a **** to install because of DRM. But I have all of those games and they all run better than on my PS3. So what was your point again?
Edit: I'll add that I was mistaken. GTA4 doesn't run at 60 fps at 1080p, but it still runs better than my PS3.
Edit 2: Well after playing GTA4. At default settings at 1080p-never drops below 50fps. If I turn everything all the way up (view distance, textures, etc.) it never drops below 35 fps. If I set it lower than default settings or a lower resolution, it never drops below 60 fps.
Take your GTA IV PC blinds off. A lot of people will disagree with you. If you insist on arguing about it, then go over to the wall over there and talk it out. There is no argument just because YOU'RE the only one that doesn't have an issue with a game. That doesn't make it right, nor does it make everyone's situation perfect, with rainbows and unicorns. Sorry, I'm not one of those people that proclaim a game excellent or perfect because it runs beautifully on my PC but runs like ass on many other's. That's not how I look at things. My world isn't flat and one-sided as yours.GTA4 runs amazing post-patching...people need to get over it. I'm getting probably 50+ fps (prob 60+) with everything maxed, my q6600 and gtx 460 ran it quite well also. This dark souls thing turns my stomach...framerate issues? yuck.[QUOTE="Elann2008"][QUOTE="Mr_Ditters"]Take your GTA IV PC blinds off. A lot of people will disagree with you. Well this sucks, one reason i'd buy the pc version is to be done with those god awful frame rate issues. Sucks that even after all the support this got from media and the gaming community they can't be arsed to even try and optimise the game for the pc. Oh well.
At least we'll know that they're idiots. They can be called out as such too.I have a feeling this will be one of those situations where they release a bad port for PC, and use the poor sales to justify not making any other games for PC. I hope that's not the case, but I have a bad feeling about it.
Toxic-Seahorse
So a game that was released (apparently) with technical problems, not only hasn't had those fixed, but isn't going to fixed when they release a new version.
Seems like 1983 is on the way again for the gaming world.

Upsetting. Now I don't know if I should get it or not. I guess I will wait and see. So many other games to play. Might wait for a sale or something. I really wanted to support this game too. Just take your time and make it a good port optimized for PC.

Funny to see all of these people freaking out about technical problems in a product that is still in development because they read a couple of sentences by a developer that could have easily been poorly chosen, miscontrued, or taken out of context. Yeah I have no standards. That's why I have a 4 thousand dollar PC setup. So I can play games that are unoptimized. I really don't think you understand my post at all.I wish we could of gotten a superior product but in no way do I believe I am entitled to it because I payed more money then someone else.
I live under the impression that the whole PC community signed it? How the hell did you come to that conclusion?
I said the devs would love to bring you an amazing product. You think these people go to work everyday to make something **** ? Maybe when you grow up you'll understand what it means to not always be able to get or in this case make what you want.
No standards with games. That's why my most played game in the last 2 years is EVE online. One of the most hardcore PC titles out there right now. A title most PC gamers are SCARED of playing. That's why I have over 200 PC retail games and another 100 on steam.
The best part?! I also programmed for the game in your forum signature! So thanks for promoting it.

Not that I ever planned on buying the game but anyone defending this practice is a terrible consumer and gets exactly what he or she deserves, a broken cash grab of a game.
Hopefully this game will sink like a lead balloon. Yes, a few apologists and dupes will buy it but, if this thread is any indication, most people will simply pass on purchasing this albatross. I wonder how long it will be before the developers blame piracy or some other bogeyman for the less than stellar sales of their half-hearted port?
The whole, "buy it for the next game" argument is weak, too. Why would anyone think they'd put any more effort into the next game than they are into this one? If you're not going to even try - why bother?
Game > no game.
One of the most amusing things about PC elitists is how they masturbate all over broken games like Arma 2 and Stalker but declare they won't even touch a broken game that has console origins, no matter how hardcore and PC-centric its design is.
Have fun not playing it, I guess.

Yes, people are elitists because they expect a company to, oh, I don't know, actually put effort into their games. If they don't care about the port (and it's fairly obvious that they don't), why should I?

Ambitious but broken games deserve support. This attitude of putting polish ahead of anything else is what ruins console gaming right now.

They're both buggy as hell and the release versions were so bad that the current versions are like a Valve game in comparison. Maybe you have a higher tolerance for bugs or just ignore them because the games are good (I played and loved Stalker vanilla where armour wasn't even damaged).
