EDIT/UPDATE:

I finished building it about 2 hours ago. Since then, I've downloaded Win-7, checked the BIOS, installed the latest drivers from ATI, installed and played a bit of Crysis.

Intel Core i7-920 (2.66 GHz, Quad Core)

ATI RADEON HD 5870

OCZ 6GB (2x3GB)

Samsung 500GB HDD

LG DVD Drive

Asus P6T SE Motherboard

Cooler Master HAF 932-AMD Edition

Corsair 750TX-PSU

Needless to say, I'm really happy right now! Crysis looks amazing! I've tried it out at max settings with 8X AA and it ran smoothly. However, I must admit that I've only tried it for about 5 minutes, way before the game becomes heavy so to speak.

The reason is becuase I'm afraid to play it for too long because I'm worried that my video card will overheat. So, I'd like to know how I can check system temperature. Is there some program I'll need to download, or will I actually need to buy a new piece of hardware?

Did you log into your account? They clearly state "Please allow 3 to 4 business days from the time we receive your return".

Which in your case would be 3 to 4 business days from when you canceled.

I doubt it. They would likely be slightly annoyed that you're asking for priority over other customers.

I'd just wait the above-mentioned 3-4 days. Seriously, waiting for a couple more days isn't going to kill you.

Yes, it is. Because after that, I'll have to wait an additional 1-2 days for the processing of my reorder, and then the additional days for it to arrive after shipment. Considering that the weekend does not count as business days, that could be after this week. That's too damn long! Especially considering that I wanted to play Crysis this week! On the bright side, perhaps the HD 5970 will come back into stock by then and I will not have to settle with the 5870.

I'd suggest getting the Asus P6T deluxe V2 instead :). Also get Windows 7 Pro 64 and don't get a 500 GB hard drive get at least a 640 GB or 750 GB. :)

Seems fine, Can't detect a CPU Cooler in there. The stock intel i7 sucks. Get the Prolimatech Megahelms or Corsair H50 (Depending if you want to go Air or Water) And, As newegg doesnt have the megahelms, Just get the H50. Millerlight seems to get some nice OC'ing with it ^^

They're all compatible. The only practical difference between Home Premium and Professional that I can find is the Windows XP mode, where you can run older programs in a virtual Windows XP environment, and backing up to a home network server and such. As for the HDD's, the one you picked is also compatible, but UltimateGamer is recommending you go for a larger hard disk if the budget permits.

You do have an awesome graphics card, nice processor for i7, 6Gigs of DDR3 is more than enough for now, so I'll say it's a good gaming rig. Overclock that and you're all set. ^^

But wait, do you have a cooling liquid/fan for the processor?
