[QUOTE="vash47"][QUOTE="Johnny_Rock"] [QUOTE="Artosa"]the game will be a dissapointment for true fallout fans.Johnny_Rock
Yeah, I'm finding out that "true" Fallout fans are still living in 1999 and are completely immune to change. Pathetic but true.
Ugh, people like you just don't get it, have you seen the interview, the latest details from the developers themselves, it's gonna be the same crap as Oblivion.
Ugh, I have read them, and just because it will be like Oblivion does not mean it will be bad. Turned based gameplay = past.
You've read the interviews. Cool. You've played Oblivioin. Great. Let me ask you, have you ever played Fallout?
Fallout fans don'tcare about turn based combat going. Fallout fans don'tcare about the isometric camera going. Fallout fans care about being able to build a unique and personalised character, and then being able to play that character. Because that doesn't appear to be in Oblivion 2.
Fallout is a game where content opens up and closes off depending on your actions and on your character. Fallout is a game where many quests can be completed in multiple ways. Fallout is a game where you can play the game five times and have a completely different experience each time.
Oblivion 2 is a game where none of the above applies. Bethesda is against locking out content. Bethesda is against building personalised experiences. Bethesda is against unique characters that can play the game in unique ways. In other words, Bethesda is against roleplaying in their roleplaying games. There's a reputation system in the game, for example. It was in Fallout as well. If people hated you, they wouldn't talk to you. Hell, they might even attack you. In Oblivion 2, based on what I've read, your reputation means absolutely nothing. They might hate you, but they won't act like it. In fact, from what I've read, the only think karma affects is which buddies will roll with you.
Oblivion 2 might end up being an amazing game, but it is not a game for Fallout fans. It's a game for Oblivion fans. It's RPG lite meets shooter lite. From what I've seen and read, the only roleplaying in Oblivion 2 will be deciding whether to use your shotgun, your sniper rifle or your rocket launcher.
