There are tons of good games out now, the graphics and the music and everything is pretty amazing. Even though we have such amazing technology now I always think of the 90's as the golden age of pc gaming. Which brings me to ask: what is your favorite pc game from the 90's. I have always had a special place in my heart for Warcraft: Orcs and Humans, Heretic, Curse of Monkey Island and of course Diablo. These games introduced me to the joys of pc gaming. What do you guys think?
I think it came in the 90's, Theme Hospital, a great game and still plays good today. Half Life Blue Shift I enjoyed as well and recently completed on easy, a very good game I highly recomend to anybody to play. Roller Coaster Tycoon took my gaming time a bit when it came, very good game.
lets go way back. for starters, u have to mention Ultima 7 in any 90's game discussion. sprawling epic that set standards for todays RPG's. cant remember a good pc rpg with fun party combat after this until planescape and BG2. also agree on full throttle. that game was the first that made me feel like a part of the story, actually involved in the game world. wing commander series was ace back in the day too, even tho all the FMV seems kitschy now. mechwarrior 2 was totally immersive and still has prob the best OST in any game. could go on and on...
Total annihilation. (i play a remake version with better graphics if that counts) But this game is 10x better than most of RTS if not all of them being released. Its called TA: spring
Wow that was a great decade of gaming. Lets see...Starcraft, Unreal Tournament, Red Alert, Starsiege: Tribes, Total Annilation, Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2, Uprising 1 & 2, Halflife + expansions, and Battlezone 2.
Here's a few. Hopefully thre will be remakes of some of these:
 Red Storm Rising,Interstate 76, Mule, the Infocom stuff. RSR would port well with modern graphics as would Interstate 76, i.e. Car Wars. Mule might be interesting with 4 people using their own usb controllers trying to negotiate.And now with multiplayer it has even more potential. Not sure if text adventures would still make money. I think we're beyond that. But these had storylines that are sorely missed in today's adventures.
Pink Panter detective, i remember i played that everyday but i dident know how to save so i started over all the time, it was a very creepy game for me back then :lol:
Z, Z: Steel Soldiers (I know, 2001, but I'm one of the few people stateside that still plays this game), Stronghold: Crusader, Magic Carpet/2, Dungeon Keeper/2, Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries (best mech game for PC ever), Caesar 3 (wasted so many hours with this stupid game)

In the early 90s I was still gaming on a commodore 64, and really enjoyed Empire (I STILL play that on my c64 emulator), Airborne Ranger, Gunship, Defender of the Crown, and some others that were actually made in the 80s...
Zork Nemesis, Leisure Suit Larry 7, Shivers and Shivers 2, Curse of Monkey Island, Grim Fandango, Riddle of Master Lu...and too many more to mention.georgetkat
