[QUOTE="GummiRaccoon"][QUOTE="FelipeInside"] Like I said, Steam is a great product, I use it for some of my games. But I'm not bias or anything. I remember Gabe a few months ago talking bad about another company and their DRM, when his company is the one who had the first big always online DRM to start with. Now he talks about Win8 without even knowing what it's gonna be like just because he is hurt there is another competitor on the market. He's a hypocrite. Maybe you like him cause he created Valve and that's fine, but we aren't all like that.FelipeInside
Maybe you aren't used to the owner of a privately held company being able to speak his mind whenever he wants. It's not like he is answerable to stock holders or a board of directors.
Windows 8 will be a catastrophe, I really really wanted to like it. Windows 7 is going to be my last MS OS. Steve Ballmer is probably the worst CEO for a large company there is. (and he says way more ridiculous things than gabe)
And actually, this may have to do with where you are from. For instance, I live in silicon valley and there is always quotes from CEOs on the local news and in the local paper.
You should look up quotes from:
Eric Schmidt
Larry Ellison (this guy especially)
Steve Jobs
Gordon Moore
Paul Otellini
Jerry Sanders
Rory Reed
Mark Zuckerberg
Jen-Hsun Huang
Bobby Kotick
John Riccitiello
Steve Ballmer
Some of the most ridiculous things you have ever read in your life.
Yeah maybe it's where I live and we don't get as many quotes as you. Still, Gabe is a hypocrite. If you say there are more CEOs like that I believe you. As for Win8, it won't be a catastrophe. I bet 2 years from now everyone will look back and say "how the hell did I ever use that old clunky start menu". Saying that, if ur a gamer, like I said before, no need to upgrade to Win8 unless it's a brand new build. It's not the lack of a start menu that is bad. It's the fact that metro is getting forced into the equation and metro is an awful UI for a desktop environment.
I have a win8 VM at work and home, and use them both quite extensively. Things that took 1-3 steps before now take 5-6 steps and things that took 2-3 steps before take 1 now.
It's not better, it is just a different way of doing it wrong.
