Since it isn't out yet, we can't know for sure that the graphics in Crysis truly are the best. As of right now, I think GRAW might be the winner (for PC, not x360).

GRAW looked and ran like crap IMO. I'd say Oblivion looks the best so far, crysis for future releases.

Obivion has one of the best looking engines, but it is a massive cpu/gpu sucker, so it might not look the best on slower systems.

the half life 2 (source) engine, i think, is possibly best new bang for buck fps engine... looks great and runs fast on "midrange" systems.

Thus, "game with best graphics" question can only be answered by looking at the power of your current system.

lol best is most definitely NOT GRAW, I run that on absolute max settings with AA and AF, Rainbow Six Vegas is pretty much the same but BETTER. Splinter Cell Double Agent also looks better. GRAW textures are real bland.

I'm studid and I know it, Oblivion is great no argument there. But, I still think UT 2004 has had the best graphics and physics even today.

Since graphics also have to consider art style, I think I enjoy the graphics in Sam and Max for their cartoony properties more than how much shiny gloss can be put onto a character model like sooo many other games.

COH anyone? Company of Heroes for those not knowing which is a shame, its amazing not only technically but gameplay wise as all... The first time you see an artillery strike on that game is truly a blissful expierence.

Company of Heroes is great but if you zoom in it looks ugly, otherwise the attention to detail for a RTS game, is absolutely stunning.

I agree, to an extent.
Games with great graphics don't have to bring something new 'to the table'; they can perfect an older set of graphics and still look great.

Another example of this might be the difference between The Curse of Monkey Island and Escape from Monkey Island. CMI was 2D (in an era when 3D games were becoming prevalent) and EMI was 3D, yet CMI looked much better (to me, anyway).

I have two 3.00GHz CPUs, an NVIDIA GeForce 8800GTS, and 2GB of RAM. I played GRAW on maximum settings with no lag and I stand by my opinion of it being ugly.

They really don't need him - CoJ has some brilliant voice-acting, especially Reverend Ray's voice.
Oh, and the game recreates many of the great Spaghetti Western cliches - you'll be encountering train robbers, rebellious miners, chasing wagons on horseback, getting into fistfights and duels - and one of the multiplayer modes revolves around bank robbery!

Best Environment/Textures: Halflife 2

Best Character Renders: Rainbow 6: Vegas

I only mentioned water because I went back to play B&W 2 with my new PC yesterday and it is truly awesome!

Overall I'd say Call of Juarez and Prey have the best graphics so far. GRAW had pretty bland graphics, not bad just nothing impressive. RB6 Vegas also looks pretty nice. FEAR still looks good too.

I don't care that much for graphics as most people do but I was pretty impressed by Hitman 4, blood money. It really looks nice.

Rainbow Six Vegas has the best technical graphics right now. The only game that has equal or better graphics is Gears of War, and I like the setting of Rainbow Six Vegas better. So I say Rainbow Six Vegas. Honorable mention to Oblivion, because it has wide open spaces AND good graphics. But Rainbow Six Vegas has the best technical graphics on the PC right now. I'd say HL2 episode 1 then FEAR extrtaction point.  Upcoming games would be HL2 episode 2, Crysis, and so many others
