I didn't laugh :P.  The map doesnt look like its THAT big.  isn't Skyrim and other TES games bigger?  And The Witcher 3 will be far bigger than it too I imagine.  Not that bigger is better.

It's not that big a map...it's mostly grass and mountains.

People think that city is too small but really isnt. You can seee it from the leaked footage(can i pass the link?)

Scaling is pretty different.Streets and sidewalks are wider and there is a lot of more space in the city.In IV it was all stacked together.

32 Islands, Sea map is explorable too,  you need like from 1 point to another 30 -  60 mins to sail with fastest fully upgraded ship.

You can watch some gameplay (no spoilers) on yt,just filter uploaded today.

Draw distance is a joke,texture and objects pop in,low res textures,like 5 NPCs on the streets. :lol:

I've seen some decent estimates. It's about 3x the size of GTA 4. Seems more detailed too.

As far as I know only GTA, GTA 2 and SA had multiple cities. All the others had one.

Rockstar has said the GTA map will be bigger than SAs and to me it sure looks that way.

So ? What does that mean ? In Just Cause 2 there are a lot of cities but there is almost nothing to do in them. GTA V will have a lot of mountains and wide open areas and there is a lot to do in them.

Ehhh, I ain't buying no console version, and to be honest, don't know if I will buy the PC version either.

Will wait to make sure it's not an awful port like GTA4 was.

I'm looking forward more to Watch Dogs than this anyway.

Max payne was a great port so high hopes. They want to push console sales first then pc last.....Red dead doesn't help this but GTA started here and will end here. Watch dogs by UBI will be like the other dogs game by ubi.

Someone put up a pic comparing the sizes of a bunch of game maps in one of those SW threads the other day. Assuming it was accurate, it showed GTA5 covering like, between 1/4 and 1/3 of JC2.

When you have jets you need a big map anyway. Will GTA5 have planes?

Seriously, GTA games have always been very detailed and each area was unique. I knew the entire map of Vice City by heart.

While who the heck can remember even one area of Just Cause. The entire game was just copy paste with random terrain.

Ive orded the PS3 version and going to get the PC version too just to do a graphic comparison but play both just as much as each other. :D
