I was hoping for someone to post an intelligent response. I guess I should know better on this forum.
ask an intelligent question then

and JC2 was also a wasteland of nothingness But I can tie a boat to a helicopter.[QUOTE="wis3boi"][QUOTE="the_bi99man"]
Someone put up a pic comparing the sizes of a bunch of game maps in one of those SW threads the other day. Assuming it was accurate, it showed GTA5 covering like, between 1/4 and 1/3 of JC2.

When you have jets you need a big map anyway. Will GTA5 have planes?
Of course it has planes.[QUOTE="FelipeInside"][QUOTE="TheShadowLord07"]I'm actually part of the problem. I double dip on pokemon games. They can serve their games however they wish. Demanding otherwise makes you sound like the usual entitled gamer. If I can wait patiently for every gta port since GTA III, and play countless other great games in the meantime, so can everyone else.

I'm not entitled to anything, but they are the only company that do it and get away with it. Even charging nearly full price for their game a year later. I would rather support companies that care as much about the PC Platform as other platforms, not regard it as a quick cash grab down the track.
Don't get me wrong, they make great games, but treat their PC customers like crap yet PC players praise them like a God, while other companies get bashed for bringing out a not-perfect port close to launch.

No one is demanding anything. Just pointing out Rockstar's pathetic treatment of PC gamers.[QUOTE="wis3boi"]

Then don't buy the game. It's really that simple. Every time you buy something, you essentially vote for the success of that particular company. Perceive Rockstar as somehow 'mistreating' you? Don't buy GTA V. But I know you will. And I know you'll enjoy it. Honestly, if you perceive it as a quick 'cash grab' I don't know what to tell you. The only way they can keep funding these enormous projects is to successfully milk each game for EVERY penny they can. It's business. They aren't treating you like anything. They know that many console owners would rather opt for the PC version of the game. They also know that people like me are going to double dip. Why? Because one of these games graces our platforms every five years. Five years. 250 million dollars put into the development. No other game can even come close to those numbers, so I understand the business in trying to completely maximize your profitability.[QUOTE="FelipeInside"][QUOTE="chrisrooR"] I support a company which I believe makes some of the best games available. They can do whatever they want in terms of business strategy. Actually, what they're doing is incredibly smart if you knew anything about marketing and making money. You sound entitled. If you can't wait, buy the console version of it. It you can, you have nothing to complain about. It's just business, don't take it so personally. chrisrooRI don't take it personally and I why do people feel the need to use the word "entitled". Why do people bash EA then? When Rockstar gets away with this and praised as best company ever? People bash EA for many reasons. For me, I started really despising them the day I bought, and was subsequently unable to play, SimCity. I was treated like utter dogsh*t from their customer service. The game was unplayable for a week, and when I finally got around to playing it all I found was a shell of its former self. Shallow, uninspired gameplay. The difference is that Rockstar can hype AND execute a game. EA is great at building hype, but is completely gone once they have your money. They couldn't care less about their products.
Just like Rockstar couldn't care less about their PC customer

Me neither (although lots of people here do), that's why I am willing to give them a chance with GTA5 after MP3 was a perfect port, but we aren't talking about the port if u cared to read the past posts. We are talking about their attitude and business model.

and a business can do what it wants, no matter what you say. It works for them ,thats why they do it. If it wasnt working, theyd change it up.

Of course a business can do what it wants, doesn't make it right, and I also don't agree with gamers giving EA and Ubisoft hell for minor things and then praising Rockstar for worse. Double Standards I say...
And WHY does it work? Â Same thing as $15 DLC, because gamers give them the luxury of allowing it.

it works for me because I can wait. I have a million things to play and I could just walk to a friends house and dick around with it if i wanted to. I will happily wait 4-6 months for a superior version with full resolution, visuals, mods, and custom music.

I can wait too, my backlog is huge. Still doesn't make it right they do that with PC Gamers though and get away with it, when every other company try their best to bring out the PC version alongside the console launch. Like I said before, gamers allow it and therefore it happens. If no one bought GTA a year after on PC, trust me when I say Rockstar would think twice about doing it again.[QUOTE="wis3boi"][QUOTE="FelipeInside"]

I'm not bashing anyone, I'm just saying I don't agree with their business practice and us gamers let it happen as well. I'm not even sure I'll buy GTAV yet after what happened to GTA4. I will wait for reviews, especially on the port quality. On the flip side, I want to buy GTAV because I want them to still create games for PC, but as of now they use PC as a second thought, and the only company that takes that long to release it. I was hopeful it would be different for GTAV, but surprise surprise it wasn't.it works for me because I can wait. I have a million things to play and I could just walk to a friends house and dick around with it if i wanted to. I will happily wait 4-6 months for a superior version with full resolution, visuals, mods, and custom music.
