I just wanted to say that it would be totally epic for DICE to release a remake of BF1942 as an expansion. Can you imagine 1942 in this new engine? Would easily pay $30-35 for it.

The team working on it is about TWICE as large as the one that worked on BC2. I am sure with this many talented people, they can accomplish dazzling us in both fields.

they presented pretty much only SP in that GameInformer article. they did dig up something about the multiplayer too;
- they are planning to release lots of MP content to keep players interested
- hell, i'll just quote here; "we're looking in to the numbers of how we scale up, what we give a way, how we give it away, with the understanding that some people put a lot of time into the game. There will be a lot more to unlock, not only weapons and other treats, but we have more things that you can unlock than in BC2. We're also making sure that there's a reason for you to reach the top rank. It doesn't just end. There will be lot of focus on persistence and how we present stuff to the player."

yeah well they gotta sell it to the mainstream too, so they stuffed in the SP, even if it's not BC3.
Yeah, its just weird because bc2 sp was treated like it didnt exist by both console and pc players. Yet they give it another shot.
maybe... it's still that mainstream gamers expect to have it in there. i'm confident that they are aware that it's the MP what makes a Battlefield. community has made it sure they won't forget it.
