I almost had a heart attack.
I just bought a 8800 Ultra Superclocked earlier this month. Glad this is fake.

Lol Calm down, its fake, no worries man, kiss your Ultra goodnight and don't worry, at-least don't worry until its November cause thats when Nvidia will release their new card :P
wait a min, i posted something exactly like this and some dudes on this forum just go crazy guerilla on me :?1. By Q4 2007 (Xmas) NVIDIA will be releasing their GeForce 9800 series GPUs.
Unlike previously expected the codename for nVidia's next generation GPU will NOT be "G90" but instead be "G92".
I have some info form NVIDIA insider about the upcoming G92 graphics processors.
G92 will be released in November 2007 timeframe in the form of "GeForce 9800" series.
"G92" GeForce 9800 GTX specs.
- 65nm process technology at TSMC.
- Over one billion transistors.
- Second Generation Unified Shader Architecture.
- Double precsion support (FP64).
- GPGPU native.
- Over one TeraFLOPS of shader processing power.
- MADD+ADD configuration for the shader untis (2+1 FLOPS=3 FLOPS per ALU)
- Fully Scalar design.
- 512-bit memory interface.
- 1024MB GDDR4 graphics memory.
- DirectX 10.1 support.
- OpenGL 3.0 Support.
- eDRAM die for "FREE 4xAA".
- built in Audio Chip.
- built in tesselation unit (in the graphics core"
- Improved AA and AF quality levels
Pros.
65nm process will allow for better yields and better power consumption. power consumption will be lower than that of a GeForce 8800 GTX.
GeForce 9800 GTX will be over two times faster than a GeForce 8800 Ultra in real world games and applcations.
Release date : November 2007. There will be TWO products at launch: The flagship GeForce 9800 GTX and the second fastest GeForce 9800 GTS.
price for the GeForce 9800 GTX will be 549-649 USD.
price for the GeForce 9800 GTS will be 399-449 USD.

I physically hate you! Stop claiming itstrue without evidence!
Please prove that this is true, with a real source.

Never. Hopefully there won't be any new cards until Q2 or Q3 2008 :P.

So what don't you understand about this post?

There are too many things wrong about that Softpedia link to consider it reliable information...
Do a google search on "nvidia g92". I don't think the rumor mill usually gets going this much over nothing.
The specs in the original post may be exaggerated or completely made up, but the bit about the new architecture being released at the end of the year may very well be true, I think.

Obviously, since Nvidia stated they are on a 12 month 2-2.5 part cycle.
Did you even read this thread?
G92 = Highend GPU
The G92 is a mainstream performance part, fitting between an 8600GTS and 8800GTS, probably priced around $250. As for Nvidia's STATEMENT on their "NEX-GEN"(not G92 or G90/91) is that it will be close to 1TFlop, not 1TFLOP or above.
BTW- this also is not a new architecture... it, most likely, will just be a suped up/slightly tweaked G80.

everybody was waiting a lot more from the r600 with all those superior specs
True, tho we havent see DX10 yet, if this card is as fast as a GTX in DX10 titles, that IMHO is a win for ATi.

Yes thats what the rumor is. And Nvidia will have 2 highend chips coming in the next 15months, ie G90 nov, G100 next nov.

Thats what i think, too. 8600 and 8800 GTS have to big performance difference and i think we will see some cards to fill that space. What about their new next-gen card than?? When is that planed to be released (9800GTX and GTS)???

EDIT: Sorry for double post.
So what is the next series gonna be called, the Nvidia 10,800 GT's?
degobah77
When ATI was done with their 9000 series then went back to the hundreds (x300,x600,x800,x850)

I believe that rumor tooYeah i wish nvidia would just make a statement so there wouldnt be all these high hopes and talking.
P.S. The person who posted the picture of that lady is very cold.
Lol.. surprised you didnt get it yet.. there will be no 9800GTX soon, not this year probably atlist, that info given, is made up BS..
And believe me, its quite simple to fake this stuff, and then people just run around taking it presenting to others as statements and facts, the G92 is coming out next month, and they are also revising the GTS 640 to maybe even better be then the GTX, the 8800s are still at the top with no competition, they have no reason for a new 9XXXs series.

Why on earth did you revive this? =(
many frownie faces for this
LMAO
wow you guys don't get all worked up over this. I saw the exact same thing in a forum like a month ago lolz
lesson learned here: wait for the official statement to get excited, not a rumor...
On paper yes, just a shame the core was so inefficient which made the costs go crazy high. Nonetheless, ATi wont slip up this time, they simply cant afford too with AMD not exactly performing well either.Biased?

i'll definitly buy it for 200$ are you going to sell it ?[QUOTE="domke13"]Anyone wants to buy my 8800 GTX??? lolonuruca
I will let you know when and if i put it on sale, which i probably will. But i doubt new high end chip will come out this year. We would at least have some rumored pics of actual GPU if anything else...
does the introduction of these new cards mean that the not as good ones prices will fall? a lot?
i might have to wait to upgrade.
jpph
They werent introduced. If you look closely it was rumor some time ago only posted on forum, so nothing official. New top end cards are now expected to come out in march, april, so you are probably going to have to wait till then for big price drops.

March April?! No way man... the 8800's are over a year old allready. I think the 9 series will be released december this year. How else are we consumers gonna max out games like Crysis? They will take advantage of all the good games coming this and next month. I have never seen a card last this long. 2 years would be insane.
sorry for doubleposting, but i can't edit. it gave me some sort of error, but anyway this was hilarious post from X-bit labs discussion:
