Will I be able to run Crysis on a 2.10 Ghz Core 2 Duo laptop for Vista?
FYI-I also have a 8600M GS 512mb Vram card and 3GB's DDR2 RAM.
Required
OS: Windows Vista/XP
Processor: 3GHz Pentium IV
RAM: 1GB RAM
Video Card: Shader Model 2.0 and 128MB RAM: NVIDIA GeForce 5800 or ATI 9800
Recommended
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz (E6600) or better
Vdeo Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7950GX2 or better
RAM: 2GB or more
~~~~~~~~
Looks like a very good chance of that, to me. I would say that someone at Kalia was reading old published lies about video cards, instead of anything substantive, however, since the FX 5800 never could run SM-2 properly, and the FX 5900 / 5950 was still extremely slow at emulating SM-2. (The FXes had a non- Microsoft, non- Direct3D advanced shader system.) It's also very curoious that they made no mention of any CPUs other than Intel's.
So you're saying I can run it at medium? I forgot to mention that the resolution it would be at is 1680x1050. Does that affect your opinion at all Kiwi? Thanks
I believe that I have already replied about my poor opinion of Medium Level cards with more than 256 MBs of VRAM. But it is a Medium level card, and the proposed laptop does have one particular drawback for gaming, which is using Vista instead of XP.
canyourunit.com said I can run it but I don't really trust them after they said I had recommended specs to run graw but it actually lagged like heck. Graphics in close combat looks good so idk if I can run it.
My specs are posted 2 posts up.
Shouldn't be anything to worry about, but why couldn't you use a search engine yourself, same as I just did?
what are the system requirements for the upcoming starcraft2?
The game isn't even close to being finished, so even Blizzard doesn't know. However, knowing Blizzard, it should run well on most systems.
could i max these games (not THAT max):
Unreal tournament 3, bioshock, crysis, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., race 07, gtr2, the witcher, final fantasy 11, F.E.A.R., battlefield 2142, etc...
Yeah, those specs are quite crazy, but they are similar to mine ( that small oc of yours), and you should be able to play all these games on max, but as you said, don't enable every feature. Oh yeah, you got that new video card i see.
Hey everyone this is my third times posting :( no one ever responds to me......well anyways can my laptop run Gears of War (minimum), Crysis (minimum), Viva Pinata, Half Life Orange Box, WoW, Guild Wars, Halo 2, and Company of Heroes?
The spec is: 3Gig Ram, 256mb graphics memory, 250 gig hard drive, vista premium, nVidia GeForce 8600 GT
Please respond I'll be very thankful, and thanks in advance for the help. :D
1. Intel core 2 duo processor T7500, 2GB ram, radeon HD 2400XT
2. Intel core 2 duo processor T9300, 2GB ram, nvidia Geforce 8400M
3. Dual core processor 3800+, 2GB ram, radeon X1900 GT
which one of this can run all of these games with a not bad quality?
1. Intel core 2 duo processor T7500, 2GB ram,
THIS IS CRAP ~~ radeon HD 2400XT
2. Intel core 2 duo processor T9300, 2GB ram,
THIS IS NASTIER, WORSE CRAP ~~ nvidia Geforce 8400M
3. Dual core processor 3800+, 2GB ram,
THIS IS FAIRLY GOOD ~~ radeon X1900 GT
which one of this can run all of these games with a not bad quality?
VanillaMilktea
NONE. What's with the crap (for gaming, at least) video? The minimum for gaming is a 600, not a 400. For "not bad quality", you need an 800 or 850, such as the 3850, but matched to a better AMD X2 than a mere 3800, which is the bottom end of the X2s.
The prior complainant won't get an answer (not direct, from me) to a "shotgun" question, especially with incomplete data. For games, the sequence of component importance is VGA #1, "Enough" RAM #2, Solid, dependable power #3, and sufficient computing capability #4. You've omitted any mention of #4, and storage is a non-factor for performance.
Thanks for answering my previous question in regards to Crysis however I feel that perhaps I should reword my question. How well will Crysis run on my laptop which is a Core 2 Duo 2.10 Ghz with a Nvidia Geforce 8600M 512mb Vram and 3G DDR2 RAM with Vista?
Again thanks Kiwi!!!
You should be able to run most of these games just fine, although obviously with Gears of War and Crysis you'll have to tone down the settings quite a bit and playin DX9 mode. I heard Viva Pinata has performance issues on all PCs, so keep that in mind. Also, when you play Company of Heroes, make sure you play in DX9 mode and tone down the texture settings for a huge performance increase.
Well, I was getting excited with RTS games coming to the 360, but it seems that the more I read about the upcoming games, the more I'm disappointed that they are dumbing down the games for the 360, so I want to see if the following games would work well on my PC:
Command and Conquer 3 (I have it for the 360, but if my computer can handle it, then I'll just buy the PC version because EA has done nothing for the 360 version. In fact, it is frustrating that the PC users have been give more maps already by EA. This game is the best RTS game I've played on a console, which goes to show that they can work, but the developers need to be supportive of all of the versions they create.)
Supreme Commander (I know this is coming out on the 360, but from what I have been reading it is just not going to be the same great experience as the PC version.)
World in Conflict (I'm not sure how this game will turn out on the 360.)
Company of Heroes
My PC Specs:
AMD 2000+
ASUS A7N8X
Radeon 9700 Pro
Sound Blaster 2
768 MB of DDR
Since it is my interpretation that the topic is a 1 to 1 proposal, not a shotgun at all, I choose only one to answer about. And here are the requirements that you could've gotten, but I had a copy of already (C&C3):
* Windows XP, Windows Vista (32-bit)
How well could my pc play Crysis?
Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTS
depends on wich gts u got... is it 320, 640 or 512 mb?
Goodevening Sirs,
My question is which games will run at 800*600, Low/Medium settings. I am not interested in Crysis/other super highend games released in 2008/late2007 because i know my GPU wont support them(even at 800*600 ?). I just want to try playing some FPS/Racing Car games. The last game i played was NFS:U2 & i liked it :)
SO could you please list some FPS/Racing games i can look forward to?
( Will Bioshock run in 800*600 medium settings with more than 25fps? )
My configuration:
CPU: Core2Duo 1.8Ghz
RAM: 3GB
GPU: 8400M GS(256mb)
-Thank you. :)
Hey, me again, just wondering if guild wars and call of duty 4 (if it had a decent graphics card) would work on this comp:
AMD Athlon 4000+x2 2.1ghz 1024MB Ram 160gb Hard disk space nVidia GeForce 6100 ( i know, shocking, ill upgrade ofc) 3 PCI slots 2000mhz FBS Windows Vista Home Premium.
And does anyone know what type of graphics card i would have 2 get (like a 128mb or 256mb etc one) as im obviusly gona have 2 upgrade it. And any recomended ones which are budget friendly?
Thanks.
Guild Wars runs on almost anything, same as any other MMO, so is not a factor worth considering.
CoD 4:
Mininum:
Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 2.4 GHz or AMD(R) Athlon(TM) 64 2800+ processor or any 1.8Ghz Dual Core Processor or better supported
512MB RAM (768MB for Vista)
NVIDIA(R) Geforce(TM) 6600 or better or ATI(R) Radeon(R) 9800Pro or better
Recommended:
2.4 GHz dual core or better is recommended
1024MB RAM (2048MB for Vista)
3.0 Shader Support recommended. Nvidia Geforce 7800 or better or ATI Radeon X1800 or better
With that PC, you aren't shopping for a card to run a high resolution display, surely. The amount of VRAM beyond 128 has no effect on overall game performance, just on graphical quality (medium textures, not large). Medium quality video cards are where a new gamer usually starts, and those are capped at 256 MBs while running games (due to the 128 Bit memory systems). Medium starts from the "600 level" (Geforce 7600, Radeon X1650).
However, the specific message thread for video questions like yours is in the PC Hardware forum, at the top over there.
here is the stuff i plan on building for my new moderate pc... will this even run crysis? also oblivion game of the year, how high could i probaly run that at? would it look better on my 360? i havent built it yet but i found these parts rather good deal so i plan on building it with tax return.
Supported Processors:
Intel Pentium 4 2.8 GHz (3.2 GHz for Vista) or faster
Intel Core 2.0 GHz (2.2 GHz for Vista) or faster
AMD Athlon 2800+ (3200+ for Vista) or faster.
Supported Video Cards:
NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT or greater; ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (Radeon X800 Pro for Vista) or greater. Laptop versions of these chipsets may work but are not supported. Integrated chipsets are not supported.
Recommended System Requirements:
EeeYuck! What a truly GawdAwful mismatch of reasonably good PC and rather poor VGA ! Why ? Especially wasting resources, and added waste heat, from twice as much VRAM as it can use in a game!
Of course, in your case, you aren't really talking about a real game of the sort most of us here care much about:
system requirements:You must have Windows 98/Windows ME/Windows 2000/Windows XP,
500 MHz+ processing power,
4 MB+ of RAM.
DirectX 7.0
(No mention of any video card being required, not at all.)
How well will Hellgate: London run on my computer. Playing Bioshock with a constant 23 fps and CoD4 at 25 fps.
Specs are: P4 2.7 GHz, 1.5 GB DDR400 RAM, Intel 915GAV mobo, Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS (512 MB)
frag_1
This time it's not exactly an imbalance, since it's an antique CPU matched with a sub-minimum, super-awful noob-robbing VGA card. 23 FPS is considered quite poor for action 3D games, and I'm very surprised a crap card such as that can do even that well when running at the lowest of settings and 800 by 600. Of course, once again we have the SCAM of selling 512 MBs to a noobie who has no idea that his card can't even use any more than 128 MBs (lousy 64 Bit memory system, you *could* benefit from making an upgrade to the same 7300 GT that the last previous member had asked about before you -- yes, upgrade, to a 128 Bit memory system).
The requirements for this one are quite low, more or less like any MMO, I suppose.
System Requirements
Windows XP or Windows Vista,
1.8 GHz(XP) or 2.4 GHz (Vista) processor,
1 GB RAM (XP) or 2 GB RAM (Vista),
NVIDIA GeForce 6200/ATI Radeon 9000 chipset or greater,
6 GB free hard drive space,
DirectX 9.0c compatible sound,
