Best Turn Based Strategy - HoM&M serials (3rd one is best)

Best Adventure Open World Roll Play Game - Elder Scrolls serials (Morrowind)
Best classic Roll Play Game - Dragon Age 1
Best Hack and Slash Roll Play Game - (there are 3 of them Titan Quest , Diablo 2 , Sacred )
Best MMO RPG - Guild Wars 2
Best adventure game (Princ of Persia - 2 Thrones i like that one pretty much)
Best Moba game (Dota 1 and League of Legends)
And BEST game of my life - 13 years of my hard core gaming was on PS1 - Castlevania Simphony of the Night!
That is pretty much that :)
#1 game would be Quake 3.
I clocked in thousands of hours over the course of a couple years, switching from mod to mod; threewave, noghost, Insta, f4a, defrag, ra3.. It's an incredible game because its so clean and "pure" compared to others IMO. The weapons have their benefits and drawbacks depending on your range. It's not like COD where you just switch between 2 weapons at the most, or probably just stick to one.. I consider it as much of a stratagy game as it is an FPS because spammers usually don't win. Even good aim isn't enough to win and winners don't get an advantage (like killstreak awards). Not to mention, the tight-knit community was great. Sure, there were **** but at least your remembered their name haha. People actually had an identity.
#2 game is Final Fantasy 7
As far as campaigns go, FF7 was the best. It's the type of game that you get what you put into it. Personally, I didn't blaze through it, I just took it slow and focused on leveling up. By the time I started really progressing, I could wipe out just about any opponent in one slash haha. Very satisfying. It seems like there's ALWAYS something better to unlock. The enemies may seem easy at first, until you encounter what I call the "Super Bosses" that may take like a half hour to beat at least.. It's insane how much content was packed into that game, though it was like 5 disks from what I remember.
#3 game is Half Life 2
Do I really need to explain this one? Everyone is familiar with it. I liked it because it didn't have annoying cliches or corny dialogue like Rage. It was linear, which I like as opposed to a game where you run around in circles. It had good puzzles and such. The balance between zombie apocolypse and alien-invasion-aftermath-distopia-with-wierd-creatures-too just made it an interesting game and it had a cinematic quality about it.
So hard since no game I play is better in everything than other games.
The Sims 2

i am not that young i'm 20 been a gamer all my life
i have never encountered something close to what Mass effect 2 did to me
arkham city is a masterpiece..and bioshock..well..bioshock made me cry & i found so much of MYSELF in bioshock
I FIND IT HARD to talk about these 3 games because they mean so much to me/hard to explain how i relate to them on a very deep level
i see everybody here is a bit oldschool but well this is why i wanted to know what others like, i want to find out rare gems i have never tried
Hmmm,
To many to list but I'll list the 3 I wasted a ton of time on playing them to death.
Battlefield 1942
Counter-Strike (not source)
Command and Conquer Red Alert 2
Kind of a hard one since most of my all time favorites I played on consoles first or tend to be on consoles only (Red Dead Redemption is my favorite game this generation), but then I realized it was only hard because of how many AMAZING titles I've loved on PC.
1. Half-Life
2. Fallout 3
3. The Orange Box (is it cheating when its 5 games in one?)

Really? To each their own, but ME2 was not as good as ME1 (which wouldn't be in my top 3). ME1's first some odd hours had the biggest impact on me.
Bioshock I just cannot get into. I know it is at least a good enough game, but I find it boring and repetitive. Clearly that is just me though.
Arkham City is the next PC game on my list though :). cannot wait to play it. But Xenoblade my have to take priority for now.
