I haven't played enough of them to give an honest answer so I'm going to use Option 5.

Aww,looks like I´m the only Daggerfall lover here:(

Plenty of time for the notorious "Daggerfall" fans to save the day ;).
half the group in the PC Forum these days probably never even heard of it.
They probably just figured well, there must be a 1 and 2 in the series at sometime.
Daggerfall is a free download now, in case anyone wants to play it. You will need DOSbox, but still its free these days.
IMO the Golden Age for PC Gaming was 1996-2000.
1996 had Daggerfall, Quake, Diablo, the original Tomb Raider, Civilization II, Descent 2, C&C: Red Alert, AH-64D: Longbow, Duke Nukem 3d, and Close Combat. Pretty doggone good year to start a PC Renaissance.
These are some of the most important games in PC gaming history.

Daggerfall was notoriously buggy when first released (the reason for some of the initial lower scores), but most of that has long since been fixed :).
Here's GS's review:

That was close... almost wasn't able to vote for a game, since I've only played Morrowind and Oblivion (I started Daggerfall, but the game kept crashing or I kept dying in the first dungeon, so I gave up at the time). Voted Morrowind. I've heard that Oblivion is more flexible when it comes to mods, but comparing the games as they are out of the box, Morrowind wins. Maybe I'll prefer Oblivion after I've heavily modded it.
Morrowind, without a doubt. Fallout 3 is okay, but the gun play sucks, and Oblivion just wasn't as good as Morrowind.Froomby

Eh,I wonder how the Elder scrolls: Arena fans are going to react to that poll...
But judging from the Daggerfall fans(only two so far),I sadly don´t think that´s going to be a problem,methinks...

I figure they are all dead by now....j/k......actually I think Arena came out only like a couple years before Daggerfall

Oi,I´m very much alive, man! :D Yeah,it came in 1994.That was some serious game back in the day.I voted for Daggerfall.
Morrowind had an amazing story and great roleplaying, but the actual gameplay sucked. And it was way too slow starting out.
Oblivion's combat and overall gameplay were fantastic, but the story was dull and roleplaying options were limited.
Fallout 3 combines the amazing story and character development of Morrowind with the highly polished gameplay of Oblivion, but has a significant weakness in that the combat is merely functional, even bland. Still, the overall quality of Fallout 3 is incredible. It truly is an excellent game, and it was a very close second pick for me after Daggerfall.
I know Daggerfall was full of bugs, and it may not look like much today, but in its time, it was a remarkable achievement. The storyline is fantastic, the character creation system is probably the best ever made, and the combat even holds up pretty well today. It's just a great game all the way around, plain and simple, and in 1996 when it was released, it was the Alpha and Omega. And I still play it.:) That's why it gets my vote.
Yea, right up there with that Half Life 2 and Starcraft trash!Morrowind is one of the worst pieces of garbage ever foisted onto the PC market.

Morrowind for me. Oblivion is a joke compared to that game.millerlight89I am gonna say the exact opposite, i was deathbored in morrowind, oblivion on the other hand was actually fun. I dont know what do dislike more in morrowind, the muddy borring enviroment, the lack of voice acting in dialogues or the long, long, long combat!! Did i mention how slow and borring travel was in that game?

Popularity doesn't equate with quality. Oprah's got one of the highest rated shows on TV, but I ain't gonna watch. Morrowind is shallow, repetitive trash. (I don't care for Starcraft at all either. HL2 was overrated. Decent enough game, but too linear and ultimately forgettable.)

 Morrowind is much less popular than Fallout 3 and Oblivion. Try again when you've got an argument that actually makes sense.[QUOTE="millerlight89"]Morrowind for me. Even you can admit that Morrowind had more depth, had more content, and had much more of a cultured world.

Sorry, but you're wrong on every count. Morrowind was shallow and the world was empty. The game was a pathetic grind where your actions had no real consequences. The game removed a tonne of content that was present in both Daggerfall and Arena and replaced it with a dumbed down system meant to appeal to the ADHD console jockey brigade. The topography of the island was well designed, but the devs fogot to fill that topography with anything meaningful or interesting. NPCs were cardboard cutouts who spewed the same 3 lines of text dialogue. Nothing you did mattered or was remembered. You could rob a place blind, flee the area, and come back 10 minutes later and sell everything back to the same merchant you just jacked. Combat was a farce and you could be guaranteed that by the time you reached 8-10th level, you'd never, ever be challenged in a fight again. Terrible game. Lowest point in Bethesda's career (and they've had a lot of lows.)

I am going to stay neutral with the Morrowind vs Oblivion. First of all, Morrowind is a slow game, and actually an RPG. It is a game where you can immerse yourself for ours role playing. Morrowind also had one of the best, most original setting in PC game history.
On the other hand, Oblivion was designed to be more action oriented and appealing more to the mass market with its HDR, blood/gore and cliche storyline. I found Shivering Isles to be a big step forward in Bethesda as it brought back the quirkiness of Morrowind along with humor.
I just hate seeing people bash either games without even pointing out the good/bad things of both games, which Oblivion's is obviously the victim on this board (Morrowind would probably be bashed more in real life).
Personally, I prefer Oblivion mainly because of the familiar setting, but also I prefer most of it's mods more so than Morrowind.

I dissagree, oblivion did everything to keep you playing. Fast travel so you wont get bored, fast combat so you wont get bored, nice wolrdmap so you wont get bored, even voice acting in dialogues so you wont bother reading and it even add a quest indicator so you wont get bored seraching around to find the location you are looking for!! But most importantly the game had epic quests, like escaping from the prison while meeting the Emperor, or finding the emperor's son and taking him to cloud ruller temple and even closing and oblivion gate!!!
But morrowind on the other hand was a bore, go there, kill those rats, go to that mine and clear it out and go to that city and find a npc that is hidden in the sewers...zzzz i was bored and quited the game, i thought an older game would have better missions, well i was wrong!!

i have to say oblivion is better not a fan of the way they did the abilities and the chance to hit stuff in morrowindAs irritating as it may have been, the chance to hit combat made it more of an RPG. Whether or not you hit someone in Oblivion had to do with your timing, in Morrowind it was stat-based.
The combat was better in Oblivion though, it was the setting/world of Morrowind that makes it a better game. The world of Oblivion was totally dead and lifeless in comparison.

Interesting case of binary thinking you're displaying there. To be honest, the only game taht Bethesda has gotten their rotting meathooks into that I actually liked was Call of Cthulhu, and that was despite of all the damage that Bethesda managed to do to that title.

 I could pick a random road, walk down it, and find at least 3 interesting quests along the way within a 5 minute period. On top of that, there's a hundreds of dungeons spewed around every corner. There are plenty of challenges in Morrowind - as long as you weren't some power gamer who'd look up the artifacts or sell to The Creeper. If you keep the difficulty bar high enough, the game is challenging all through out. Your dialogue point is moot, as is it's exactly the same with any other RPG (aside from the ones where you can't even talk to the NPCs aside from a few basic choices).Yea - certainly nothing you did mattered.... Oh wait, you're wrong. Again. Did you ever bother to play Bloodmoon? Sounds like you either never played the game, or GameFAQ'ed your way through it. Seems like Morrowind is a little above you.
EDIT: And all your problems that you've mentioned are easily fixed with a few minutes of installing mods.
