Anyone know what you would need in order to score a 10?CleanNJerk

Processor - 17 2600k = 7.9

Ram - 8gb kingston = 7.9

graphics and gaming graphics - Gtx 580 =7.9

harddisk - 64gb SSD + 2tb WD in raid 0 = 6.9

...

indeed...but for some reason your cpu score is a .1 faster than mine even though we have the exact same cpu's....Also its strange that an i7 920's are outscoring i5 2500ks

I have mine overclocked @4Ghz, do you have it OC'd.

Those SBs' still score better elsewhere just not windows index (b.c thats the go-to benbchmark right??) and most importantly games better. Overall 2500k > 920, but is retarded to upgrade from there.

7.9 is the max you can get, its a 1-7.9 scale

i hear in order to get 7.9 on cpu you need 8 physical cores, and perhaps equivilent will do

ive got a i7-2600K at 4.7 ghz and i only get 7.8

^ Overclocking affects your score, as does HT. Sadly not many programs take advantage of the latter, but it's nice being able to fire up a game even if I'm in the middle of a long encode or compressing junkistuffedsunny

its an improper test, takes only a few variables into consideration instead of the big picture per component

Not sure why I only manage 7.5 on the GPU test with the gtx460, i recall the HD4850 were getting a full 7.9?

This isnt with a full OC, but the SSD is still the lowest subscore with 7.3.

For some reason WEI does crap with HDD's everyone seems to be getting the same results from their hard drive regardless of what it is. My samsung F3 spinpoint 500 GB scores the same as yours? something's not right

6GB Corsair DDR2 - 7.4 (interesting, when i had 4GB it was 7.5. Maybe it's because it's not completely dual channel any more)

My rating changed after installing a new motherboard and overclocking the CPU a bit more.

DELL XPS 1702x
CPU : i72630QM
Memory : 8 Gb
Primary Hard Drive : WD Black (will upgrade this week for a Corsair Force 3 SSD 120Gb like the one on my dekstop, so will likely hit 7.9 as my desktop for HD)
Video card : GeForce GT 555M

And now, my desktop;

Custom build system
CPU : i5 2500k running at 4,5 Ghz with Cooler Master 212+ CPU Heatsink with double fan
Memory : 16 Gb Corsair Vengeance 1600
Primary Hard Drive : Corsair Force 3 SSD 120 Gb
Video card : Zotac AMP! GTX 550 in SLI (X2), I hit 7,4 with single card, 7,9 with SLI

So I'm near a perfect note, only my CPU at 7,7. Could overclock more since he's only 60 degress under load, could probably go at 4,8 Ghz / 5 Ghz as other people did with my CPU Heatsink, but I don't want to go that far for a 0,1 increase in WEI, I only got 0,1 from 3,3 Ghz (stock) to 4,5 Ghz...
