Hoping my GTX 590 will still be able to max out the game...but I have a feeling VRam may be holding me back this time around. :(

I can see teamwork being better but not as good as it was in BC2. it's still gonna be a lone wolf type of game like BF3 was where you COULD do teamwork if you wanted. Especially evident by the fact they didn't switch classes towards teamwork, they switched them towards mobility and solo play.
Assault still has med packs, support has a mobile mortar, recon now have C4 as well as support. I'm not sure how the class balance is gonna work yet but I don't see the game having more teamwork. The only thing they did towards team work is field upgrades which are kinda confusing and hard explain.
What I do like is having a small and large med pack that heal at different rates as well as quick revives not yielding 100% health but you have to charge the paddles to get 100%

You don't think having a commander will help with teamwork? I know that a lot of BF players probably just want to run around and kill things but I'd hope having a commander giving out orders to squads might at least add some cohesion to the battle.Â
I found it profoundly frustrating playing BF3 and playing to win the game while everyone else was trying to improve their K/D ratio or get a specific ribbon. I fear it will be even more of a problem for me coming from Rising Storm where teamwork is pretty common and you are doing things with purpose rather than just running around looking for action. I find that style of multiplayer to be a special blend of boring and irritating.Â
commander is gonna be great, especially since the commander, unlike BF2, is not on the field with everyone else. BF2/2142 commanders often chose the role to help themselves in battle, not the army
hopefully built in VOIP will help teamwork or at least squad team work. And yeah I know BF3 had teamspeak/mumble/ventrilo, but i feel like having built in VOIP means people will be more likely to use it

What's your res? 1080p, but the GTX 590 theoretically only has 1.5GB VRam available. 3Gb recommended.commander is gonna be great, especially since the commander, unlike BF2, is not on the field with everyone else. BF2/2142 commanders often chose the role to help themselves in battle, not the army

How much you wanna bet the commander will be OP at first and everyone will ask for it to be toned down?
Also it says I can't play the game until 9AM :( I thought it was gonna be 1AM (in 40 mins). Someone lied to me

I'll start max and if I have seriously FPS drops then MSAA will be the 1st I would turn down, and with 1440p it would make more sense.:P[QUOTE="lostrib"]

They probably put the Beta on their best servers cause they knew it was going to get smashed with downloads...
[QUOTE="darksusperia"][QUOTE="FelipeInside"] My BF4 Beta maxed out my download and it was downloaded in an hour or less (6GB)FelipeInsideIve been averaging roughly 350KB/sec. I can get anywhere from 800KB+ on steam. Must be depending on location or something then. Origin always maxes out my connection while Steam sometimes does but fluctuates more. yes, doesnt help that akamai had a busted server in the region recently.
Played about an hour and everything worked fine and stable (Sydney Server and everything on Ultra).
Battlefield is not for me though. I'm used to COD so it feels very different to me, had fun anyway.
Felt a big underwhelming. IT might just be the map, its so awful. Like one play said, it felt like playing a Sprinting simulator to get from one area to the action sometimes. Overall the map looked bland and just poorly designed, looking foward to a better map, parcel looked better.
i always find it funny when people compare the two, they play so incredibly different to each otherPlayed about an hour and everything worked fine and stable (Sydney Server and everything on Ultra).

Played for about 30 minutes with everything on Ultra, Had no problems at all, game is really fun so far. Â For what it's worth i'm using a 7950.
Siege of Shanghai is one huge map. You could be spending one round fighting in the metro, on the streets or on the skyscraper rooftop. Different theatres of war in one map, I am impressed so far. Cover system lets you lean around a corner like most FPS games have now.
my favorite thing so far outside the better destruction is the redone menus and UI. So much cleaner and easier to useSiege of Shanghai is one huge map. Played about 45 min before work. Performance is really wonky. I'm playing with everything on Ultra except MSAA off (not touching that until final game and release drivers come out), and I'm getting anywhere from 70fps to 20 fps. Huge and wild dips in framerate happen periodically, sometimes seemingly for no reason. No action, not looking at anything special, and the FPS flies all over. I remember BF3 beta had pretty bad performance compared to retail, so I'm not too worried.
It feels a bit more like BF2 in gunplay. I don't know if I like or dislike that yet. My initial impression is that it doesn't feel as visceral as BF3, but again I'm comparing beta code to optimized and batched BF3, so who knows.
The map is kinda meh. The tower is really freaking cool, and I haven't seen it come down yet...but the rest of the map is pretty boring compared to the BF3 maps.
Will play more later. Hopefully the performance evens out. I downloaded the new nvidia beta drivers and tried them for a few min and didnt notice a big change, so we'll see.
