when I press a key it says the same message so should I put the windows 7 disk in?

[QUOTE="evildead6789"]if you're done with that you have to go into the bios(setup, you'll have to press a key noramally it's delete or f2) and look if your bios have found the harddisk and optical drive. Then you have to put the boot order to this 1 st cd-drive, 2nd harddisk, 3 and on doesn't matter. Make sure you save when you exit the bios. Then you put your windows cd in the optical drive and reboot your pc. The install procedure will start just follow on screen instructions. If you have a question just ask i will look regurarly but i just installed dead space 2 and i'm dying to start lolClassics603
err Im still getting the same message
That's because you don't have a boot device installed. Keep pressing the 'Delete' key when you boot up your system. Chances are your monitor is not booting up fast enough to show you that window. Doing so will get you into the BIOS. Look for something related to boot priority settings, and make sure your disk drive is the first one on that list. After that, insert your Windows disk, reboot, and the installation should start automatically.
now im getting nothing at all
Classics603
After pressing the delete key, or after changing the settings in your boot priority?
atapi or ide first :S?
Classics603
Well, is your DVD drive an IDE drive, ie. the fat grey ribbon cable connection? If so, put that first. If not... well, you should be able to see two SATA items on that list then :?
Installed windows 7 and now it won't recognize my internet connect, I tried both wireless and wired any idea why?
hmm odd. have you checked device manager?evildead6789
Sound is now working after installing the driver, but everything thing is extremly small i can barly read the words im typing.
congrats on building your first computer, now you are a pro, and should be able to upgrade any component you like in the future by yourself, or with a little help from us. Also for the small text thing, try to change the resolution.
How :S ?
Classics603
right click desktop go to resolution and change the settings. But before that I don't think you installed your video card drivers yet, it will likely fix your problem.

Click on that link and download the driver. If your windows is 32 bit, then change the os in the drop down box to win 7 32 bit.

Yeah he did quite well he even found the 'any' key. About that resolution press rmb on desktop, choose properties, choose video resolution or something. I could be directly in that rmb menu too , depends on the driver of your videocard.

he means right mouse button....also don't forget to download the latest drivers for your video card. I provided you with the direct link above, but you can get it from www.amd.com Newer drivers = better performance in games. I think the latest driver for the AMD 6xxx series is 11.1, I dunno.

You have been giving some good advise evildead. Keep it up!lowered the res but stuff is still tiny...
Classics603
check your video card box...there should be a cd that was included, just install that driver. Also after that update your video card drivers to the latest ones from www.amd.com
Have you bought a new high-res monitor? maybe your just not used to the higher pixel density. Things looked a tad small to me when I recently upgraded from my 1440x900 monitor to a 1080p.
Are you now using the latest video driver?

Most users on this forum just leave a message and then bugger off so it helps OP a lot when someone hangs around to give up-to-date advice as its needed. Also as *we* recommended him to build one from scratch we are sort of responsible to help him get it working properly! :)[QUOTE="blaznwiipspman1"]Yeah I did before that everything was huge and blurry lol[QUOTE="Classics603"]
