The (Un)Official Bad Company 2 Beta Discussion

So I just finished playing a few rounds in a hardcore server and i think i liked it better than the regular one. Increase damage, no crosshairs, no enemy spotting(the red triangles don't appear on top of the enemies or on minimap) those are some of the things i notice.

I dont really care about prone, but they should give the option to turn it off and on depending on the servers and for the love of god, make it toggle, same with crouch.Dante2710

Hm... played a bunch of the PC version and just tried out the 360 demo today, and I might like the 360 version better.. the controls seem to work a bit better for the controller, there's hardly any lag, hell even guys seem to take less bullets to take down, as long as you exclude the 'hardcore' version. And since I can run it through my 5.1 system, it sounds.. incredible..

I had the PC version preordered, but now I have my doubts :| The 360 version even seems to run much smoother.

hey guys i just downloaded the beta but i can't update it, it says the servers are down or i am not connected, but i have internet connection. i choose the option to play the old version which i assume is the uber laggy version giving me fps under 40 and everyone is jumping around everywhere. is there a way to fix this?

edit: nvm, checked the twitter page and i fixed it

lol I wonder if that was me flying the helicopter>??? i got in the apache for the first time today and that exact thing happened to me same way and everything :Pfloridaskater05

Flying helicopters in BF series has always been pretty tough.. took me a lot of practice not to flip one over in BF2, and I completely forgot how to fly one since then :)

They inverted the controls from BF2, so I failed epicly the first time I tried to fly one of those things.

Hm... played a bunch of the PC version and just tried out the 360 demo today, and I might like the 360 version better.. the controls seem to work a bit better for the controller, there's hardly any lag, hell even guys seem to take less bullets to take down, as long as you exclude the 'hardcore' version. And since I can run it through my 5.1 system, it sounds.. incredible..

Same. I just can't seem to get used to the KB&M controls on the PC. The 360 version seems to be better. I just need to get Steam to refund my money.

Wierd, Ive played both and I gotta say the pc version is better. Graphics look better, it runs better and the controls are better with K+M. Only thing 360 version did better imo was less dissconects and more people playing. But thats just me. I still on the fence about weither to get this for pc or 360 though.. as my cousins all game on consoles..

I do hope they remove the toggle to aim feature..it makes the game feel very clunky..other than that..this game is AWESOME 8)

I love this game so far, although I think that the weapons for Medic and Support should be switched around it makes no sense for a medic to have a light machine gun. But I will defenitly be buying this game, its defenitly got the battlefield spirit right, plus anything is better then MW2

I just reach rank 12 (the top in the beta) a week after. Still some items and weapons to unlock. The game is godlike. DICE nail the gameplay thanx to the new squad system and the environmental destruction. It runs very well maxed in my GTX 275 and I don't miss any BF2 feature enought to overshadow the amazing fun I have with Bad Company 2. Aside from Starcraft II, I can't see a better aspirant to GOTY 210 in the horizon; the mp in this game looks endless even with a single map.
