To Any PC Gamer: You MUST Play WAR !!!

• I stumbled in on a public quest and did it solo by just running around and killing the same guys over and over and over. The DEFINITION of a grind.
• The bounding box collision sucks Ba!!$. There are times when i will try to run past a fence and will clearly be out of its way and the game still decides to stop me from moving.
• The environment is completely boring...There are no butterflys, birds, squirrels, deer, snakes, etc....I realize that this environment is not meant for something like this but still. All the enemies just sit in one place (I have only gotten to rank 4 so my experience from there) and they don't do anything special at all.
• The game just seems unpolished and unresponsive.

Lol im suprised at the amount of people hating on this game without playing (im not talking abou the guy i quoted). It seems that same WoW fans are threatened by this game, and wanna lash out by bashing it. IMO, this game is phenomenal, and any MMO fan, anyone who wants to be brought into the genre or any MMO haters should try it out :D

About the Cartoon part; I think he's reffering to the graphics (?).

About the customisation part; if you really want to customise the way you look, then I would highly recommend CoH/V. I guarantee that you will never look like someone else in the game (unless you want too or if you copy an existing hero's costume). And yes of course the game is good...

Warhammer Online is not "kiddy" like WoW. Or "as kiddy" for you big time gangsters.

World of Warcraft looks pretty cartoony, i dont find anything wrong with that. TF2 is cartoony also but is great.

Warhammer Online looks much more brutal and crazy.

Well millions love them so its not gonna happen. Im loving WAR. So far i havn't seen any signs that the community is childish or as hostile as WoW's.

I really hope WAR goes on to become a very successfull game, i think it will. It has its faults, WoW had just as many and more on launch and has had years of patches to make it the game it is today, people seem to forget all this though.

Well i have to say its threads like this that make me ashamed to be a PC gamer. SW is correct, some PC gamers are so elitist. Its no wonder PC games dont always sell well. If you pass judgement on this game without even playing the RETAIL version you have no right to comment. This is a great game that deserves a chance.

Why so many PC gamers shun games that are great for reasons unknown is beyond me. So what if its like WoW, so what if WoW is like EQ, it doesn't make them bad games. I'm sick of this crap.

WoW is dark in some places, bright in others. The graphics arent cartoony, its just how they look, and they do look bright and animated in bright areas, but they also look gloomy in others. People seem to focus on the cartoony part to make some mediocre arguement against the game. And besides, I dont see whats wrong with cartoony. If your going to make an arguement against the game, at least make a reasonable one.

WoW has nothing to do with this thread, just that its not like WAR.

If you want to debate how the look alike (which they dont in the slightest), make a thread on it yourself.

Yeah, we all see you in every WoW topic stating the same thing over and over again. It isn't an opinion as much as it is a crusade. I feel mostly the same way about WoW that at 70 it becomes less like a game and more like a job but I learned to LET IT GO.

Now then, back on topic, I wouldn't say you must play WAR, but, it would be good if you actually tried it. WAR is probably the most highly anticipated MMO I have ever seen. Just don't start judging the game without even trying it...I tried it, wasn't as good as I belived it was going to be, but good nonetheless.

And guys, don't start fighting over which is better. Keep your thoughts to yourself or post a new thread for WoW v WAR or something...

Nomatter who you are, aslong as you enjoy PC games, you should definately try out this game.

There are quite alot of people who arent a fan of the MMO genre, becuase MMO and Mindless Grind coexist. I, and many people who have played the game to a quite high level can tell you that this game has no grind. Seriously, there isnt :o. You guys should definately give this game a try, even if its your first MMO, its newbie friendly and is quite frankly by far the greatest MMO available.

To people turned off the genre because of World Of Warcraft. Asides from the controls, and the MMO Formula, the games are nothing alike.

O yes, and to the people thinking Warhammer Online is a WoW clone, you are SADLY mistaken. The Warhammer fantasy universe is much older then the Warcrafts. This game is unique, and NOT world of warcraft in the slightest.

And lastly, to fellow MMO fans. This game is everything you have loved about MMOs in the past, with everything youv dreamed about, and some more! Trust me guys, you will absolutely LOVE it. The RvR. The unique, detailed, brutal cla$$es. The PQs. The Lairs. The RvR. The Dungeons. The RvR. The Quests. The RvR. The Fantasy Universe. The Monsters. The RvR. The Bosses. And just soooo much more (yes, i know i said RvR 4 times :D). The game is incredibly fun.

Bottom line, nomatter who you are, be it someone who has never played an MMO before, someone who hates the genre or a veteran. Warhammer Online is thee game to play!

I have an acquaintence I met on Warhammer Alliance who says he can run Crysis on maximum settings (AA on full) with 1600x1200 resolution or higher, and he has terrible screen tear with Warhammer. Its graphics...simply put, really suck. Yeah. They're not good, at all. Guild Wars has better graphics than it does. It's graphics are terrible, and Mythic themselves have said that "they will work on the graphics post-release." If you had the common sense to know when to release a game, then surely you would have half a brain to know to finish the graphics beforereleasing it--idiots.

Warhammer Online is a waste of your time and money. Avoidthis game, because it is just horrible.

First off, wasn't WAR only released like 2 weeks ago? So it should be "unfinished" and should have a lot of flaws since it's been running for only 2 weeks.

Secondly, 2 days and 2 hrs+ worth of playing isn't actually that long at all. To get the most out of the game, you should at least give it a week.

Thirdly, of course its graphics aren't as good as Guild Wars, Guild Wars has one of the best MMO graphics.

Its graphics...simply put, really suck. Yeah. They're not good, at all. Guild Wars has better graphics than it does. It's graphics are terrible, and Mythic themselves have said that "they will work on the graphics post-release." If you had the common sense to know when to release a game, then surely you would have half a brain to know to finish the graphics beforereleasing it--idiots.

Warhammer Online is a waste of your time and money. Avoidthis game, because it is just horrible.

Professional reviews (GameFocus, G4TV, All Of Them) says this game had a very stable launch, and polished when it comes to an MMO. Remember WoW at launch? Yah, its much better than that. AoC? Dont get me started....

You link a player review of someone that played the game for about 20 minutes .... (the quest he named is the 2nd quest you get at lvl 1).

And lastly, to fellow MMO fans. This game is everything you have loved about MMOs in the past, with everything youv dreamed about, and some more! Trust me guys, you will absolutely LOVE it. The RvR. The unique, detailed, brutal cla$$es. The PQs. The Lairs. The RvR. The Dungeons. The RvR. The Quests. The RvR. The Fantasy Universe. The Monsters. The RvR. The Bosses. And just soooo much more (yes, i know i said RvR 4 times :D). The game is incredibly fun.

Bottom line, nomatter who you are, be it someone who has never played an MMO before, someone who hates the genre or a veteran. Warhammer Online is thee game to play!

No, people. Do notwaste your money. You will find an unfinished pile of crap waiting for you after you spend that $50. This MMORPG is not finished, and won't be finished for a long time.

You idiots who are about to reply to me and say, "What MMORPG is ever finished?" are blind, and you have never been apart of another game's release. Warhamer Online has too many flaws to count, and it is a complete waste of your time and money.

because he captures the game perfectly. No, to this I say: Do not waste your money. I have logged over 50 hours on that game and I participated in a little closed beta myself, so I've experienced all I need to experience to tell me if it's a good game or not.

If it has any content at all, most of it is unfinished. The sound is terrible, and it runs like complete **** on anyone's computer. I have an acquaintence I met on Warhammer Alliance who says he can run Crysis on maximum settings (AA on full) with 1600x1200 resolution or higher, and he has terrible screen tear with Warhammer. Paying $15 a month doesn't jive with me right now. I have so many games to beat I can't play enough to justify and get my $15 worth of play.

An MMO? and a Warhammer MMO at that? No thanks.

The only MMO I played, enjoyed, and was motivated to continue playing was World War II: Online. It was actually different.
