EDIT: Is Gothic II worth it? Gamespot gave it an 8.1 but the written review doesn't seem to speak very highly of it.

Gothic II is the best of the gothic series! It is very similar to the elder scrolls series. I personally prefer it over the ES series. If you like G2, pick up G3 as well and install the community patch which fixes all the bugs. That game is just as fun. Also, Gothic 4 is coming out this year, so now is the best time to buy these games.

Seems like every other person (if not more) got wither EE, including me. I also got guild wars trilogy. for under $27? for all three? why not? was about to get the trilogy a few weeks ago at $40 ... good thing i didnt : )

yea and its wayyy better than L4D Doubt that, but I bought it. :P L4D has versus as well. This game is only about surviving computer controlled hordes.. But there seems to be a lot of weapons and stuff, so that's cool.
I just got Trine. I'll buy Borderlands on the last day if it doesn't go on the daily sale.I'm on the fence with the Eidos/Square Enix pack. I haven't had a chance to look at all the games on sale. Most likely, within the next couple of days, I'll probably stumble upon more games I'll be tempted to buy. Yay for Steam!.

That's weird. It runs fine on my PC and it's significantly worse than yours. Also, the game is fantastic.

I played Darwinia when the demo came out many years ago and it was really fun. I know thats not enough to base the quality of the whole pack on, but it is only $5. Also all of the games are less than 65 MB each so it will download very quickly.

Very. I got into a six player room yesterday and we dominated. It was awesome. The game is a nice change of pace from the hardcore competitve team based shooters that are filling the market.
I'm gonna wait until the last day to pick up the games to see if they go on a daily sale, but here is what I'm looking at right now:
Settlers 7 Dawn of Discovery Guild Wars X3 (If it gets really cheap) Left 4 Dead 2 (For my brother) Plants vs. Zombies Pretty much anything under 4 bucks. I'll see, but one thing is sure, my bank account isn't going to like this.
i need a bit of clarification: a lot of people are saying they bought killing floor for 5 USD, which is contrary to my experience; i got it for 3.75 USD. is this a regional thing?
