Deus Ex or Total Annihilation would probably catch my "best game of all time" vote. But Operation Flashpoint also had me sitting up late some nights ;)
I couldn't even decide what I'd consider the best game ever, there's so many great titles out there. But if you go purely by box sales and current amount of players world wide. It'd have to be World of Warcraft. 8 million subscribers says a lot about a game.
It may not be the prettiest game on the block by today's standards, but Master of Orion packed a lot of game in a few megabytes. And let's not forget Descent, which would be a great choice for a PC remaster or Xbox Live Arcade addition.
Hmm...that's a pretty vague question...I guess it all depends on what kind of genre you like. I'd have to say in my opinion...Half-Life or Half-Life 2 are pretty good contenders. Buuuut...old school Forgotten Realms games are fantastic too! :) Oh...and don't even get me started on Morrowind and Oblivion... >_>
