Sid Meier's PIRATES? wait, was it the remake or the original? if it was the remake then ok, but if it was the original....that was legendary! nothing like it had evar been done! But wutever.
IMaBIOHAZARD
the remake
[QUOTE="tiiaan"]Big Rigs, Empire Earth III and Halo and Need for Speed series.simardbrad
Ok you can't say the need for speed series sucked... NFS1, NFS2, NFS3 and NFS4 are all good... the other freaking suck though.
Halo oh yes, hmm... though i never thought Halo 1 on PC was that bad.
[QUOTE="JangoWuzHere"][QUOTE="fatshodan"]SunAge is the worst PC game I've ever played.
Honourable mention to: Gears of War, Warrior Within, Grand Theft Auto London, Condemned, Divine Divinity, BioShock, Dungeon Siege, Painkiller, Postal 2, Psychonauts.
fatshodan
whats wroung with those games??
Gears of War is the most constricting game I have ever played. The combat is so repetitive as to be considered formualic, and every single firefight in the game can be described with one sentence. In fact, the game is so formulaic that player participation is so minimal that the game may as well have been an on-the-rails lightgun shooter with a foot pedal to move in and out of cover, because the game felt more like a Yakov Smirnoff joke than an actual third person shooter. And the checkpoint save system? The automatic checkpoint save system? The automatic checkpoint save system that automatically overwrites old saves so the only way I can replay a certain part is to restart from the beginning. No thanks. It's a very constricting, very repetitive game. Stale, is the word.
Condemned is a melee game, and melee games don't work. The AI is simply not developed enough and every fight in every melee game ever is simply a matter of learning and then exploiting the basic AI routines, and Condemned is no different. Fights were boring and played essentially like quicktime events, with me waiting for visual tells before hitting the correct buttons. Add to that some absurdly stupid concepts, like how certain weapons are required to get through certain areas (because I can't smash open a door with a sledgehammer?) or how the protagonist, who is an FBI agent, throws his weapon away at the end of every level for no reason whatsoever? I can only stand so much formualic combat and so many stupid, impossible to overlook contrivances.
BioShock is System Shock 2 redux, excelt every single thing is considerably worse in BioShock. It's a bad, bad copy. Had System Shock 2 never been released, BS would have impressed me, but BioShock is just a bad copy of a game nine years old.
Painkiller is a game where you walk into a room, all the doors lock, ten identical and stupid looking enemies spawn, you kill them, ten more spawn, you kill them, ten more spawn, you kill them, then the doors unlock and you move to the next room where it happens all over again. The bosses are cool, but Painkiller is a joke compared with Ultimate Doom and Doom 2 on ultraviolence/nightmare. I find it hard to take a game seriously when it's rendered obsolete by a game released twelve years earlier.
Psychonauts has two genius bits - Lungfishopolis and the Milkman conspiracy, and those two bits carry the entire game, but the rest is just very, very tedious collect 'em up platforming with absolutely no redeeming features whatsoever. The combat is terrible, the game is boringly easy and collect 'em ups stopped being fun around the time Sonic and Knuckles came out.
I'm not quite sure yet butI think I like this guy
although Runescape has to be the worst evar, Daikatana has second place. honestly, "John Romero will make you his ****."
first off, i don't WANT to be his **** Second off, the game looked bad from the start.
IMaBIOHAZARD
Ha! That's retarded. That may be the worst slogan of any game
Worst game ever? For the PC? The Ship. (steam game, based off mod or original HL)
-Mentions-Well I'm not counting Runescape, since it isn't retail. I was highly dissappointed with Spore, but that's just because it was hyped too much. All of the basketball games, but that would be too easy. Hmmmm, Dawn of War, that is one.I have the same issues with Dawn of War as I do with COH but DoW seems to just not fit together. If I hadn't ever played CoH, DoW would've been ok, and I understand CoH came out the most recent, but look at all the expansions for DoW, and they haven't fixed a thing. Talk about milking the cow. When I see bulleting and artillery hitting a squad and either A) bullets just going through people like they don't exist or B) People(armor or not) taking ROCKET hits, it starts to loose its so called "brutal" aspect. DoW is a game that I gave time to, and tried to like, I'll do the same with DoW 2. Overall, DoW made me not want to play an RTS ever again, so it takes the cake.
[QUOTE="DeathScape666"]Games for PC only? If so, then Audiosurf and Spore.
noswear
Wow, you're hilarious! :?
What?
Audiosurf wasn't fun for me.
[QUOTE="-Origin-"]I wanna say big rigs but i've never actually played it, although i know its the worst game in the world and know what it's like.fatzebra
WRONG.
Critics agree the worst game in the world is E.T. on the Atari 2600, closely followed by Superman 64.
Funny that you would say that on Gamespot.i mean, Guild Wars wasn't overly innovative or a GREAT game but it was mediocre. AND no subscription fee...but wutever.
Assassin's Creed? WTF!? I rly enjoyed that one!
I amazed at how few of the games mentioned are actually terrible games...much less "worst game eva" lol. All the regular names showed up of course.
Gears of War
Halo
ect...
Honestly surprised by a few though...Psychonaughts and Divine Divinity? Guild Wars?
Geesh....the standards for games some of you have haha. For me, I dunno played tons of terrible games. They used to come on CD's with 100's of games, and 90% of them were pretty bad.
My pick would have to go to Dawn of Magic. I love ARPG games...even crappy ones like Loki and Silverfall...but Dawn of Magic is just a miserable game with barely any redeeming qualities at all. On top of it all, the game was beyond buggy and border lined on just completely broken.
There is tons more...most of which I can't even recall as they were so forgettable...but that one was most recent.
Guild Wars is far from being the worst.. lol.. That's blasphemy.
I would have to say...Stalker. That's the worst game I've played so far on the PC.
Heh, I already see the parade and bandwagon coming to flame me. It's still MY opinion. :P
Elann2008
:D I totally agree with u dude 8)
People have weird choices.
COD4,BioShock and GTA San Andreas are a bit overrated,
but theyre good games.
Worst.... well Gunman Chronicles(PC),Cliffhanger(NES), the Final Doom levels are boring and.... South Park (n64), it's and god awful FPS
LOL GUYS SO PRINCE OF PERSIA SUCKS SO DOES BIOSHOCK GEARS OF WAR CONDEMNED DAMN I JUST SAID CRYSIS IS A BIT, 6 POINTS OVERATED AND YOU GUYS CALLED EVERY "CONSIDERED GOOD" GAME THE WORST GAME EVER!
as for psychotoxic i love it it offered almost no bugs and nice oldshool combat unique story and awesome levels!
WORST GAME EVER FOR ME BOLING POINT OR RIDDICK!
