Final Fantasy 8 is the worst ever FF

Correction, Final Fantasy 10 is the worst ever FF. Linear, and boring gameplay and good graphics don't make up for the decent storyline.beedog

Why does everyone like this game?? The junction system is horrible. I think people only liked it because it had graphics that made the characters look older. But essentially the storyline and gameplay weren't any better than 6, if not worse. In fact, I like the deformed characters better than the realistic ones. There was nothing in FF8 that pushed the series forward. It was just another save the world and fall in love with the girl storyline. You can get that in 9, yet no one respects 9 at all. Two400

FF8 is one of the best RPGs ever, just go away.

I agree FFVIII was awful. The best FF ever is FFIX.

ya, it wasn;t all that good.  BUT, then again id rather play 8 then that god awful 12!!  wow!!

FFXII has a couple of flaws, but it is an amazing game.

Change is good! Every FF series has it's own difference...

Aihhh the age old questions..

I'd say FF8 was great.. They are trying to make something new with every 3D final fantasies, with FF9 using the old school system of job thing.. 8 uses junction system, 7 uses materia system and 10 uses the sphere grid system. Due to my country's lack of online games, I can't play FF11, and 12 is the most flexible system i've played thus far..

So i'd say that every final fantasy has it's pros and cons. Then how can u compare this and that? I'm sorry if my opinion makes u mad or something, it's just that I've been playing Final Fantasies and I've beaten each of the game that i've played at least twice, and I still say that each FF has it's own nostalgic moment, it's own pros and cons.

There is no such thing as FF(insertnumber) is better than FF(insert number).

I dont get how u hate FF8 but evry1 has opinions. I think FF8 was the best FF.FF8 and FF7 is the most argued competition in FF series.

My faves of FF in order

1 - FF8

2 - FF10

3 - FF2

4 - ff12

5 - FF1

6- FF9

Those are the only ones I played.

Yh i don't really like the junction system either,however i still think ff8 is a great rpg,it's certainly better than 9,but then again everything is better than final fantasy 9 :Pblacktorn

I enjoyed Final Fantasy VIII. I am replaying all my old Final Fantasy games starting with VIII actually (obviously in no specific order).

Fanboy much? FF VIII's storeyline was pretty satisfying but the experience/levelling system was heavily flawed and encouraged players to avoid fights until later in the game until they had access to GF's with stat boosting abilities. This resulated in the gameplay being pretty unfatisfying in my opinion, an the only thing that got me through that game was the story and the graphics. I really like FFVIII but it's a flawed game, and chances are most of the people saying that FFVIII is the best, are doing so for purely aesthetic reasons.

 Every FF has its own innovations and flaws. If you see people playing the low-level guide of FF XII you'll see you don't have to fight anybody if you don't want to (except bosses)...

 I found FFVIII to be one of the best: Finally a game where you don't get to kill a dinossaur full o' money (yeah, they don't have pockets...), the draw system was very interesting (no more killing yourself over ether, hi-ether, etc..) and the summons were so beautiful FF IX didn't surpass them in my opinion...

 Maybe people felt the need for armors, gears and different weapons... I enjoyed FFVIII so much I'm playing it for the third time. Some people here have said if you're really a FF PRO you shouldn't like playing FFVIII...

 I say if you're a FF PRO or not, you shouldn't miss ANY FF game, since NES, because all of them are worth your time... to dismiss any FF is simply ridiculous... no matter if it's your least favorite, most hated, etc...

 I agree with you about the gameplay, it had major flaws. FFVIII is good but so overrated sometimes, as you, the only thing that got me through FFVIII was story and graphics

FFX is the worst 

I remember the forced laughter part of the game (the guy above mentioned it) ...I was like WTF>>!!?!?!?!?

The story is lame the summon dependence was lame ..the characters were lame (auron only cool one) 

The game was to linear .....HELL I even liked FF9 more than X at least 9 dident feel as empty....
