What do you think?
with all the new next gen consoles it seems like its kinda dying but i still love my ps2 dont get me wrong and ill keep buying games, like ROCK BAND!
And i really, really hope it doesnt die and all the nest gen consoles take over.
i know a lot of people that still have the ps2 and they love it and they actually do not like the next-gen systems.
how that is possible idk but he is a pretty hard gamer
When a system is a great system for many years, it does not die. It becomes a classic. Something like the Sega CD... now that died. (Good system, but did not have support for long).
Istill play my PS2 though. FFX-2, FFXII, DDR, GT4, etc

I think the PS2s capabilities are still impressive. I do feel that development support for the PS2 is dwindling. However, there is some hope. The high cost of next-gen development prohibits smaller, creative developers from creating to the PS360. The best alternative for those smaller developers is to create for an olderconsole with a large market base. This results in lower production costs, higher profit margins, and wider exposure. As long as smaller developers are willing, the PS2 will be the prime market.
The Wii is the biggest danger to the PS2. Current development for that is most similar to the PS2. If it's market continues to grow at the pace it has, the PS2 will be an afterthought. I love my PS2 and I don't want that to happen.
Almost , the quality of the PS2 games are too poor .There're still some new games because the price of PS3 is too high .
Nah, I'd say the PS2 has a good 2 years of solid releases left in it. Who's going to forsake the installed userbase; a fraction of which is massive enough to dwarf the numbers of Xbox 360 and Wii users.
Sure, it's going to look real dated in 2008, but it's far from dead.
