After watching killzone.... All other FPS's look like PS2 games ....

I doubt it will be in the 360s Gears of War class.

Come on why is everybody looking so forward to a FPS from guys who their first game was crappy.

well i count pc out of the consoles because they require thousands to play and the graphics are updated every year where in consoles, you only have one specification and you have to work with that. mind you, i will never be able to afford the amoutn of parts to play crysis on top specs. but killzone makes games like halo and rainbow 6 look last gen

I'm serious... ok maybe not halo, UT3 or Haze but seriously, stuff like Call of Duty 4, blacksite area 51, medal of honor,.... i can't get past they are ps3 because simply watching the killzone trailer made some games look humiliating to be on the ps3. I mean seriously i thought lair looked AMAZING going into e3 and then watching the killzone trailer.... lair looked meh...

But seriously.... if you watch CoD 4 you can see the horrible fire textures etc and scripted animations.... Especially the deaths too. Again, no physics at all in the game and hundreds of jaggies.

Watching that killzone e3 trailer really set the new bar of what Next-gen SHOULD look like. who else thinks this?

Arguments over graphics are like arguments over favorite foods. Its pointless. Everyone has a different opinion. That doesn't make them wrong.

Honestly, right now, IMO KZ2 looks really good, but not "SO VERY INSANELY OMG BEST GRAPHICS EVAR" to me.. Mainly due to the fact that what I've seen is merely an Alpha build. But, that very SAME fact is what amazes me the most. It looks THAT good (very, very good), and its only an Alpha build!

I think Killzone 2 will DEFINATELY be one of the best looking games on the PS3 when it is released. We still don't know what other companies have to offer, but I'm sure KZ2 will best them as well. If they can totaly re-do their fire effects, and really touch up their environments and such, then by god, I'll be satisfied.

But I'll wait to pass any judgement. Its still too early to tell, but at this rate, I'm liking what I'm seeing.

all the games at E3 looked good. COD4 looks INCREDIBLE, Killzone 2 lived up to the hype and impressed, Unreal Tournament 3 looks amazing. MGS4 was crazy too.

Halo looked really good in the 1 player mode but it looks like a last gen game in multiplayer. Halo has been way overrated for a while. the story sucks (or is non-existent), the multiplayer is great but hasn't had any significant improvements since the 1st game, and there are several shooters coming out now that look a lot better and look like they're going to be so much better. Killzone 2, Unreal Tournament 3, Call of Duty 4, and even Gears of War all look better. Halo is overrated. period. and i was pissed by Microsoft because they showed that they not only know halo fans will be buying the game but that they don't even think they have to do anything or work for customers anymore.

i can't understand how some of you can say that killzone 2 is better than game X.

the textures aren't even done, they are really really blurry. wait until it's done then see what's up.

Lol i think COD4 is looking to be one of the better graphical FPS games out there. As for KZ2? No way in hell. I thought it didnt even look too much better than Resistance graphics wise. And the gameplay doesn't look there either. Don't get your hopes up!krp008

as far as the game's textures and style... i think they are pretty darn good, just not amazingly great. the graphics just have a blurry look IMO, and lacks the sharpness that you see in other next-gen shooters. it also (as of just what we have seen in this trailer) suffers from what Gears of War had, which was a very monochrome scheme of colors. hopefully this will get fixed in the later builds.

what blew my socks off though were the AMAZING animations in the game. with games looking pretty close to CGI this generation of games, the easiest way to separate CGI scenes from in-game video clips are how the characters move. in-game videos can always be spotted with janky motions that take away from the realism. KZ's animations are just mind blowing. when an enemy is being tortured by bullets... he looks like how a dying man should fall to the floor. he doesn't look like some rag doll that just lost all of his weight.

in short... when KZ2 comes out... it will look awesome.

but to the TC... as for all other FPS games looking like PS2, try opening the PC page on this site once in a while and look up a little game called Crysis.
