Black-Ops, How people still play that game is beyond me, and i'm a huge COD Fan boy.
Killzone 3, Campaign was awful, and Online was fun at first but than i just kept getting put into the same map everytime i played, never anything different, so after 2 weeks of it i sold it.
AND to the person saying RDR, you're absolutely crazy. One of the best games since PS3's been out.
Burnout Pardise, how do I hate that game so much. And I couldn't even return it or anything because I got it of PSN. And I knew I should have picked up Dead Space instead, and Dead Space came with a demo of Burnout so I could know how bad it was
Both Bayonetta and Soul Calibur 4 are awesome games! :O Anyway, I regret buying Dark Void even though I got it for like $10... what a load of crap that game is!Bayonetta
Soul Calibur 4
Burnout Paradise
thats all i can think of right nowspawnassasin
Mafia II
Well actually my cousin was the one who bought it, then I borrowed it, and in the end we both wish he had bought Borderlands instead.
OMG you two . Fallout 3 is my favorite game of all time . To each their own , I guessYeah another one for Fallout 3. Definitely one of the dullest games I've ever played and I find myself so bored when I play it that I don't feel like doing anything lol.

[QUOTE="dk00111"]Nothing really. I extensively look into games before I buy them, because I really hate buyer's remorse. :PPumpkinBoogie
Hell yeah, +10 on this one, ;)
Can't say I've ever run into that problem, as I always thoroughly research and feel a game out before I buy it. Plus, my good 'ol woman's intuition doesn't steer me too wrong either, lol. Simply put, if I'm not feelin' it, I'm not buyin' it.
you know, i felt that same way a long time ago...but some chance encounters on games have REALLY suprised me. for instance i was not feelin mirrors edge...well at least the demo so i didnt buy it when it release...2 years later i buy the game for 20 bucks but i still dont play it for almost a year. when i finally played it, i was like a raging freak at the game, it was awesome!...that game and other suprise hits like that really makes me go out on a limb sometime. i REALLY hate buyers remorse as well which is why im in the same boat as you guys. if its a new game i wont buy it at full price if i have a doubt...ill wait until i can bargin bin it and then take a chance. but even sometimes if youre not feelin it, go out on a limb...if critics are praising it and the gamers are on it....sometimes if you arent feelin it and you havent tried it....it may be worth a a glance at least.First game that comes to mind is Demon's Soul...but I got that as a gift. But, it has only seen my PS3 once. Probably never again.
GTAIV takes the cake with wasted purchase. The cell phone, the "friends", the driving mechanics, the ultra-repetitive missions (ala RDR) made me wish I hadn't bought into the hype.
Yeah, I'm playing for the first time now as well. The 'run & gun' tactic ... not so much in this game. I just need to level up a tad more then I'm sure it'll be less frustrating. I've died, A LOT! :)Suprising how many people didnt like Demon's Souls.
Playing it now, and loving it.

I have a kind of love/hate relationship with Demon's Souls. The game itself is a masterpiece but the level of difficulty is frustrating to the point that it gets in the way of fully enjoying the experience. I'm always more worried about eminent death than anything else (which I suppose is what the developers were aiming for).Suprising how many people didnt like Demon's Souls.
Playing it now, and loving it.

MAFIA II. Very little resale value (I like to get rid of my games through craigslist when I'm done with them) and very little replay value. My only consolation now is to keep it for the Playboy collectailes :P
Shift 2 Unleashed. It looked set up to be amazing, but punishing difficulty and some lacklustre features make it an epic fail and epic disappointment compared to its great predecessor. Definitely the most disappointing game I've purchased in the last few years.
Well, I didn't buy it this year but Warhawk was a huge disappointment to me. I loved the concept behind it but the execution was lacking. I know a lot of people like it so kudos to you but it's just not for me.
I also regret buying Little Big Planet 2. I enjoyed #1 but #2 was just boring despite all the improvements. Not that it isn't a good game...I think I just got burned out on LBP after the first.
Oh, and COD:MW2. Never played the single player but the MP was crap! Yet I really enjoy Black Op's MP. Go figure.
Anyone who says Fallout 3 or RDR are terrible human beings.
But I actually kinda regret buying Singularity. As cool as the game is. It's only good in spurts.
Final Fantasy XIII - never purchasing another game with that director's name on it; lost 60 dollars)
Resident Evil 1 - 3 - didn't age well at all; lost $20 bucks on these games downloading them).
Resistance 1 & 2/Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - these aren't "bad" games but they're all just meh. Play for a while, get bored, sell 'em. I'm not really a multiplayer guy. Glad I grabbed these all on Amazon used.
Grandia - I'm sure it is a great RPG but I wouldn't know due to the awful, awful voice acting. Wish I didn't jump at this.
The rest are games that I purchased on consoles (Bioshock, Darksiders, Mass Effect, Fallout 3,etc.) that I later purchased on Steam for a fraction of what I paid for them. They even run better, play better, etc. (not trying to start a flame war).
CoD Black Ops - bought it day one, beat it in a few days and returned it to Amazon
Crysis 2 - I only played a few hours of the campaign before I sold it on ebay.
I still have Saints Row 2 but I regret buying it.
Resident Evil 1 - 3 - didn't age well at all; lost $20 bucks on these games downloading them).

Shot in the dark, but if you have a Wii.. the remake of Resident Evil is fanfreakingtastic.
I buy a game after reading reviews and asking around if it's worth getting. I would say Black Ops would be my biggest regret, but the multiplayer is still play-worthy (For me at least) because my friends and i play and it's just a good way to hang out. Other than that i have never been regretful of a PS3 game purchase. Next stop, Portal 2!
Dead Space 2. Most of the game was good (not as good as the first), but the end sucked major rear. I can't even force myself to go back and finish the game.
coasterguy65
That's the one I also regret buying. It wasn't a bad game, but just didn't leave me feeling satisfied or that I got my money's worth.
One title that comes to mind is GT5, wasted 80 freakin' bucks on that game only to be severely disappointed with it and selling it less than 2 days later. Sold Oblivion and Saints Row 2 as well....... *shudders* can't believe i bought those.
AC : that game is the most repetitive and boring game I ever player . Dead Space : Dark alley , A door, a freak . Rinse ,repeat . Boring characters too. Sold it within days. Dirt 2 : sold it in the same day and bought Fallout 3 survivor9712I'm so glad that someone felt the same as I did on Dead Space.
Definatley AC: Brotherhood for me. I liked the first two but by Brotherhood I'd had enough of climbing buildings (boring) and doing the same tasks over and over. There was also way to much to do (overwhelming) and none of it was fun. I hope the next AC is is modern times (bored of 1400's after 3 games of it) and they focus more on making exciting/varied story missions not boring/repetitive side quests.
I can't complain much about Killzone 3 since it was free when I bought the PS3 bundle. but for this year
Medal of Honor
Prototype
Aliens Vs Predator(2010)
Resistance 2
