I'm not missing one game. I've hooked mine up to the TV through HDMI, but I only have one HDMI cable, so I had to have the PS3 running through component when I did it.motherboop
Awesome. What emulators are you using?

Couple of things.
1) I don't care what cell phone you have, that's not part of a PS3 setup.
2) You overpayed for your cables. It's been proven that $20 cables provide the same quality as $200 cables. Hell, some audiophiles couldn't tell the difference in sound between a coathanger, and Monster wires.
wow thats a badass set up you got there, i drooled a bit on my keyboard. I love that TV, i wish i would afford it (well i can but its WAY too much money). I love the see-thru edges. I would post my set-up but i'm too lazy. i'll just type it out instead.
Samsung 32" HDTV Full 1080p
Logitech X-540 5.1 Surround Sound
60GB PS3
not bad for a bedroom set up eh :)
This is like a kick in the nuts for me. Makes me want to hang my head in shame.
What I'm trying to say is that you have an awesome set-up :P
Not to steal your thunder, but here's my setup I've been working on. Yours still puts mine to shame by a longshot.
-Ps3 60GB upgraded to 320GB (221 left), 15 games (CoD4 and Ninja Gaiden Sigma not pictured)+ many downloads, 9 BluRay movies, Sony Bravia 1080p 40'LCD S-series, Logitech Blutooth Mediaboard, PS3 remote, PS3 eye, 2 controllers (one dualshock), and last but not least, Sega Saturn.
The rest of my video games are hooked up to my 32' Std. Def RCA Tru-Flat TV which is further to the right of these pics. I play only PS1,2,3 nd Sga Saturn on the LCD.
Audio surround coming in a few months.

YOU STOLE MY TV STAND!!!!!!! Damn i seen that stand in a store one day and i just had to have it. problem was i didn't have an lcd tv yet....so i baught an XBR to match the stand. actually i baught a samsung to match the stand and had compatability issues with the ps3 so i traded for an xbr. got 7.1 surround too...thinking on it that was an expensive day...oh well.
First of all, amazing amazing amazing set up.
Now, just a quick question, where do you get the emulators for those systems, and where do you get the games for them? Just wondering, I have never seen that before on a pc.
Also, when you use the ps3 controller for it, do you have to use any specific software, I'm guessing that you can't just plug it in and play

2 very good setups. I will post my new setup pic in about a month when I would have saved over 3,000 dollars. This is what i plan on buying :
40 inch Samsung 650 series: 1080p 120htz looks sick
7.1 speaker system : Energy or Polk Audio
Yamaha rxv 663 Or Onkyo TX-SR606 : Both are 7.1 With True HD and DTS HD via HDMI 1.3
Cant wait to hook this stuff up. I still got to make up my mind on the tv stand.
If you have any of these components in your set up then please let me know about your experience with them. Thanks

Build your TV stand like I did.

[QUOTE="Someguy2055"]I bought the PS3 when it was $750 (launch 60GB). TV is worth $4000, souround sound is worth $1000 Monster Power box is $500 (got them all in a package deal at best buy for $4800, along with 5 $200 Monster Cables), HD PVR is $500, but I'm making monthly payments on it. The laptop was $3000 when I bought it back in November. I have 30 games ($70 ea.) = $2100. I could go on and on. Haha. But I had the games and movies and PSP and laptop long before I got the new TV and sound system deal. jojothekidman i need a job :(
and so do i lol .. i gota get a TV like that too lol .. i think its time to get a job :P

All three of us do. I have some money saved up for one of the new Pioneer Kuros but a job would sure help with some of the other periphials like a good surround sound
Yeah it's a great setup. The only things I'm missing from there is the tv since mine is 42", the surround sound, the surge protector and Blu-Ray player and the stand. The rest I have.SPD_WeBmAsTaH
Lol. I'm confused. What do you have then? :P

Be aware that plasmas suffer from burn in. My friend had a 50 inch Pioneer Kuro and got burn in playing GTA on it. I'd strongly recommend going LCD.

The reason I'm going to the Kuro is because I watch TONS of sports and I have an uncle who owns the Sony Bravia KDL-46XBR5 and a cousin who owns the Pioneer Elite Kuro 111FD and I've watched enough TV on both of them and the Kuro wins hands down. Video games look good on both but again the Kuro is better. And after my cousin "broke in" his TV we've played 6+ hours of Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 the last three times I've been over there and his Pioneer has no IR, just a small amount of burn in which is fixed with the washing feature or whatever the feature is called. Plasma's have come a LONG way in the IR and Burn In department, and judging by his Kuro it's the best it's been.
The only problem is that the Kuro is $5000 and the XBR5 is about $3000 so the price difference is huge there
We should get a mod to sticky this thread and have it changed to "Post your PS3 setup". We have one on the PlayStation forums thats like 900 pages long. It's great. Someguy2055
Yeah Someguy you should go and post your setup in there.
And here it is:

I just bought all of my setup a week or so ago. Got it all set up. Gaming in HD is so awesome. I upgraded from a Panasonic 27" CTR 480i.I'm just turned 18 in July and I've been saving for a 2 years for everything, so I'm pretty proud of the setup. Tell me what you all think! :D
My gaming setup: 52 inch Sony Bravia XBR4, 1200w Sony Bravia wireless 5.1 home theatre system, HD PVR, 60GB Launch PS3, Monster HD Power Center 2400, Dell XPS M1330 (2.8ghz, 4GB of RAM, GeForce 8400GS, 320GB HDD), 30 games (26 of which are pictured, 17 Blu-ray movies (13 of which are pictured), PSP, 10 PSP games, 25 UMD movies (not pictured), Linksys WRT54G wireless router, Motorola Modem, Motorola Razr V3, Motorola BT headset, Jabra BT125 headset. Here are some in-game pics.
Uncharted:
Just thought I'd throw in this one to brag about my Uncharted skills. Haha.
Here are a few from Gran Turismo 5: Prologue:
MGS4:
Here are some picture using the Bravia XBR4 as my computer monitor. Hooked up throuh HDMI to my laptop.
Hooked up to the TV, just changing the display settings. PS3 controller is hooked up to the XPS for old school N64 gaming.
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (best game of all time) in full 1080p FTW!!!
Someguy2055
somoen has alot of moneyyyyyy
nice. you from toronto? I noticed the rogers hd box remote u got there. I am too btw. I just recently bought the sony 40z4100. You may want to look into that TV instead of the xbr4 if youre main use is for gaming because it handles motion much much better but it only comes in46" max :( but nice setup man i like it. I got the 46xbr4 in another room but not with the ps3. PS3 is on the Z4100. (btw do you have the TV set in vivid mode? colors look over saturated in the pics from gt5 and uncharted. Take it off vivid and put it on standad it should look much better.)
I read reviews on the Z4100 before I bought my XBR4 and it got lower scores than the XBR4 on all the websites I read. Still a great TV, but the XBR4/XBR5s are still the top dog Sony TVs, that is until the XBR6/7/8 series comes out in a few months. About the colors, it's my camera. The color is alot better in person. I cant find a good autosetting on the camea for taking pictures of the screen. And yes, I'm from Toronto.
