Darksiders vs. Bayonetta

With both of these games coming out at the same time... which one has earned more of your attention??? I'd been interested in Darksiders since first seeing it... and my interest has only grown with recent previews of the game. I'm hoping we'll have a demo soon.

On the other hand, I had absolutely no interest in Bayonetta prior to the demo and all of the hype articles that soon followed. I still don't think Bayonetta quite lives up to the hype it's earning, but it is admittedly fun. I feel like it's basically DMC with a different skin... but hey, I was a huge DMC fan so that's not quite a bad thing.

As of right now, Darksiders is probably a day one and Bayonetta a summertime drought purchase. How about you guys?

Never liked God of War... I played both the first games and got bored of them.

Darksiders looks like one of those good games on paper, but when you get to play it, you realize how low the production value is behind it.

Bayonetta is the most original and has a team behind it that's known for some of the best games in the industry.

Sooo... yeah.

Hmm- if I were to buy any of these 3...

I haven't heard enough on Darksiders to really make a call with it- though it does sound promising. I currently have the least interest in it of the 3 though...

The Bayonetta demo was awesome, and GOW 3 is looking really good. I'm not sure which one I'd choose first though.

Due to my experiences with past GOW games though- I have to say I'd probably go for GOW 3 first- though I could change my mind at any moment- cause Bayonetta's demo was- as I've already said- awesome...

Yeah, I figured I was wrong about Darksiders, but it just doesn't look that fun to me.

Just call mine a biased opinion.

Both games will be great, but i'm really holding out for God Of War III ;)

Bayonetta. I have no interest in Darksiders. If it gets good reviews I might check it out, but I'm not excited in the least bit for it. I will also be picking up GoW III but I'm more looking forward to Bayonetta.

I haven't seen gameplay, but from screenshots it looks decent, I like the theme & idea behind it.

I tried the Bayonetta demo on my 360 & really couldn't get into it. Darksiders on the other hand has caught my eye. At first I thought it was going to be an average action game, which it may still turn out to be, but it has grown on me. The gameplay looks fun, the theme is cool & I've heard it has similarities to Zelda which can only be a plus. With all that said, I voted with the GoW III option. I may pick up Darksiders, but I'm sure as hell grabbing GoW III.

I thinks that's all the extra features though which kinda makes me sad. I was expecting more content and had considered rebuying the PS3 version if there was enough extras but it doesn't look like there will be. Also, I personally don't care for Japanese audio tracks, but I guess it'd be good for the people that want it. I'll take a bad dub over Japanese audio any day though. I like to understand what they're saying without having to read every word :P

Bayonetta demo was great, but I think Darksiders looks better imo.

Bayonetta. That's my first priority once the new year arrives. I'd be lying though if I said I wasn't intrigued by both Darksiders and Dante's Inferno. Hopefully all 3 will be great games because then we all win :)
