No, not really. However I do get annoyed with those mandatory installs, they seem to take forever to install.
Yes, but why must it be unskipable every... every.... time I boot the game. I don't care who made the game I care if its fun or not.Lol, advertise? It's the people who helped make the game possible... give them some credit...

[QUOTE="MethodManFTW"]nah doesnt bother me.. its the only way casual gamers will ever know who made their game SepewrathThat makes absolutely, no sense. Anyway, they made the game, I think they deserve they earned the few seconds. how does that not make sense? you think many people that just play Call of Duty or Madden know who develops the games? no.

Yes it does.... makes perfect sense to me, i would break it down into bitesize chunks for you but i cannot be bothered to teach english today.
Oh my god yes! Oh MW2 was the worst culprit for this.... oh i think i sat pressing buttons to skip them more than i played the worthless piece of...JohnF111Well you can skip it unlike BattleField.
Anything that does not directly involve playing the game should be skippable. Company logos, cutscenes, credits at the end, etc. should all be skippable.
What is the point of advertising to someone who already bought the game, anyway? Are they gonna go out and buy another one?

are you stupid?! MW2 is so quick to jump into that's one of the reasons is played by many worldwide!!
I literalyl load the game hit start a few times and I'm already in a lobby or jumping into a game!
Demon souls on the other hand........I swear I actually quit the game more times than playing it because of waiting.......
First one I thought of too. :P Yeah it's a bit annoying if unskippable.Yes.
That needs to die. Bioshock is the worst offender.

Its really not a big deal. It will take 10-20 seconds at the most. Do you really have to get into the game that fast? Are you all that impatient that it infuriates you to wait a little bit? Chill out.
Games have been doing this since the NES days. It doesn't bother me at all. Are people that impatient to wait several seconds? Often times I would start up a game, then realize I want something to drink or a snack, then "the game is waiting for me" to push the start button.
Add 10-20 seconds for every time you play the game, it soon adds up. I never understand why people use that argument, what are the chances that you only turn the game on once in your life? Its really not a big deal. It will take 10-20 seconds at the most. KZ2 GG symbol always made me rage. I literrally have the first few of Visari's words imprinted in my brain because they force you to hear them. Burnout Paradise is even worse, it ruined Paradise City for me. Every time I ejected a disc...."TAKE MEH DOWN TO DEH PARADIZE CEETY WHERE THE GRASS IS GREEN...." I just want to slap Criterion for that.

How can it add up? Its just at the booting of the game...not like it does that in every lead screen or in any menu option you enter. Come on, I mean can't people wait 10-20 seconds ONLY when they first start up the game? and how often will they do that a day? once? twice? seems acceptable by me.Its really not a big deal. Booting games that require you to sit through the opening logos, obviously you're not going to just boot the game once in your life so of course it will add up. It's like when putting on a Bluray disc, some of them require you to watch the trailers before without any way of skipping, watch that movie4-5 times and it soon adds up.[QUOTE="Nauron-"][QUOTE="MushroomWig"] Add 10-20 seconds for every time you play the game, it soon adds up. For trailers, ok I can understand the frustration, trailers arent short. But seriously, its just 10-20 seconds after the game boots, you can go get a snack, clean your glasses, or sneeze and they'll be over. It would be an inconvenience if it was longer...say 1-2 minutes, then it would just be ridiculous. but 10-20 seconds? I personally dont mind. Besides, like people said before, those people made the game. Hell, if I made a game I'll make sure that my name and logo gets burned into your brain. :P
These people and companies put a lot of time, effort and money into getting this game to your screen, give them some credit and let them have their moment.
It's not like they make you sit through a miscellanious McDonalds advert or something- they MADE the game happen- I'd be pretty pissed off if I saw someone skipping through my credits
It doesn't bother me at all. It only last 20-30 seconds (if even that long) and gives me the opportunity to learn more about the companies who are involved in development.
It's really not a big deal, most of them are skip-able as well. ;)
The entire game is their moment, they should be thankful people are playing their work rather than a silly logo. These people and companies put a lot of time, effort and money into getting this game to your screen, give them some credit and let them have their moment.Rigour_Mortise
Well, what bothers me even more are games that automaticly check if there is any new DLC even by entering the main menu (Dantes Inferne, Dragon Age to name to). It's one thing to check for new stuff if I enter some ingame shop, but it's another if the game forces me to wait just to check if there's another way to rip me off
it only bothers me if i am going to play online with someone. like demon's souls. where are you at "havok". lol still!
I gave them credit by paying $60 for their game. They should always be skippable, at least after the first viewing.Lol, advertise? It's the people who helped make the game possible... give them some credit...

This doesn't bother me. I actually like watching this. Know who published, developed, etc. the game. That way if I like or dislike the game I know for the next game that they come out with if it may be worth it or not to buy. However watching it just the first time, and making it skipable after that would be great.
