Go in with the crap they sold you, throw it on the counter and say "Refund".
That should work. If not demand a manager and do not let them help other customers until you get what you want.
I might just call sony and get themt o give me ones that will fit in replace for this junk that won't fit.Go in with the crap they sold you, throw it on the counter and say "Refund".

Sounds to me like a critical error on your part.... what exactly is the cable you bought/the cable you needed?
I bought A/V cable replacements, officially made by SONY. They will not fit into the PS3, so they onyl go half way because the ports don't match up. This is why I don't understand how they could do this to me. They sold me cables with no warning on it because it was mostly likely too old to have one. I think these cables were made in 2007, so my 2008 80GB won't work with these stupid ___ cables.Sounds to me like a critical error on your part.... what exactly is the cable you bought/the cable you needed?

Maybe because I looked at the return policy on the receipt and it pissed me off.How do you know they screwed you when you haven't even tried to return it yet?

DO you not realize how much of a problem this is? Sense these cables didn't fit and they were a official licensed product. This now means I will have to find a third party seller that has one that will fit and that means I will be msot likely to have the problem again. Not to mention I have a AC cable to won't go in all the way in my power strip and I don't know who the hell to ask for help. Its like, okay sell this stuff or take it back, but then where the hell do I get something that works correctly? How many topics are you going to make about the same **** cables?

Where did you get them? Go back down there and demand the right ones .. it's not a hassle, you're making it one ..
Just look up what cables you should actually be using and get them. For your power cable and AV cables. It's not that complicated. Sorry if this sounds douchey, but you made a stupid mistake. It's not their fault you don't know what you need for your system. Those cables probably would fit on some sort of PS3.sublimeandetcI got the right cables, they didn't haev the right damn port at the end and the should have. You make it seem like it was my fault and it wasn't, I'm okay with not having a HDTV. All I needed was replacement A/V cables, its only one officail A/V cable on the market for the PS3 and I bought it only to find that it won't BLEEPING fit in. The one I originallay had that got damaged, fit in perfectly with no issues.
Chances are you bought HD component cables rather than AV cables...HybridPhoenixNo, I bought these and they won't fit, http://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-3-AV-Cable/dp/B000NL7JSC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1244076574&sr=8-1
you should get a refund or a store credit. next time do the research before running in a store and picking something up, so you won't have to through the hassle of bringing it back.Sk8ter_213Your not getting it, I bought the right product, it just won't fit into my PLAYSTATION3. Thats the problem, I bought something that was supposed to fit and it doesn't. What does this mean? This means I will have to find a third party cable that fits and hope it works, because if it doesn't. I'll have to ask my parents for a HDTV and by HDMI cables because I know those will fit.

I bought some replacement cables for my PLAYSTATION3 at Gamestop, big mistake. I noticed that they don't fit and have a different port in then the original cables, so its no possible way it will ever fit. What does this mean, the item is opened which means it will be harder to return. They will insist on giving me the same item, even though it will not fit into the port. Both Gamestop and SONY screwed me. Had I known this would be a possible problem, I had at least bought it at Amazon like I did the power cord which also fails to go all the way into the ____ power strip. I'm lucky I only lost $9.99.Dakushonen
Unless there was a labeling issue and this was a used product, you're likely the one at fault here. I don't care how you dress it up.
With that aside, you can return it with receipt, opened or not, as long as you due it in a timely fashion. You can get your money back or a replacement. Rather than claiming to be "screwed" perhaps you should find out why the cables are the wrong one and try to get the correct ones. No, you're right. Better to scream at the skies and rend the earth in frustration over something so simple. Mistakes never happen, ever.

Yes it is, I know why it won't fit, I am simply trying to figure out why they would sell me the only AV cables on the market and not have the fit with all PS3, not to mention it was no warning for obvious reasons. The thing could have been made in 2007, I got mine back in 2008 80GB. Lucky for me I fixed the power cord problem, I pushed it all the way in a little harder, but this won't work for the AV cables because it uses a different printing on the back of the port. Its the same shape but it won't line into it due to this.Thats the problem, their is no "RIGHT ONES" besides the ones I bought, that's the bad thing about this.
