Same problem on my 80GB, my Slim works fine =S
Corrupted the dynamic themes too, but everything else seems to be ok. Anyone worried about Trophies disappearing, as long as you synced recently you'll be able to redownload them so don't worry about that.
Can everyone verify they have the same issues?
- PS3 suddenly froze around 7:00 - 7:30 PM, Feb 28
- Date set to 12/31/1999 (even though you can't select the year 1999 in the date & time settings?)
- Can't sign into PSN (8001050F)
- Can't play disc-based games with trophies (sent back to XMB)
- Can't launch Downloaded games
- Some Downloaded games reverted back to Trial Mode
- Some Themes corrupted
- Problem also arose to PS3s NOT connected to PSN / Turned off
- Problem happening with only Fat PS3 models
These are the problems I have seen so far.

I am having all the problems listed above. I first noticed it when I was playing BioShock 2 not too long ago. I was playing the game, and noticed I wasn't earning any trophies, so I just turned my system off. Just a few mins ago I turned the system back on, and get the error on sign in.
My friend who works for Sony Playstation has not texted me back. I can only assume that they have him captive. I'm calling Jack Bauer and this whole thing should be resolved in 24 hours. Unless of course he has to kill everyone , then we're out of luck.

hahah, so true! here's a quick summary of what i've seen:
Well, essentially this is what im getting so far: The most affected system is the old 60gb Lauch with BC. Everyone with themes from the Playstation Network has gotten them corrupted, same with some of the downloadable games, not all, but some. I have also heard from people in different countries (Norway) that have gotten the same problem. I'm in Minnesota and it's still down for me. But i think it's safe to say that it is a network problem, not a hardware issue so you probably don't need to worry TOO much. The one thing that concerns me is that this code is associated with a system killing problem.... let's just hope Sony gets this straightened out quickly.... in the mean time, we can really only wait.
Ah, as i was posting this, 2 more pages of posts came up, lol, so this is a bit repetitive.
just something odd, i tried a different user on my 40gig ps3 fat and its working. tried using my account and error 8001050f.
also my secondary user was made about 3 weeks ago to try different factions in mag, so i wonder if the age of the account has an effect.
Same for me here. I was playing Bayonetta when I noticed that I didn't get a trophy after finishing a certain level. I noticed then that I wasn't logged in at PSN so I tried to log in but I also couldn't. I quit the game (the game has been for 8 hours by then lol) and tried to do some stuff and noticed that the clock was wrong. When I tried to play Bayonetta again the game freezes during the first loading screen after the developerthingies and before the intro trailer. Also all my Bayonetta trophies are gone. Before the restart they where still there though it didn't get a trophy added. I haven't tried other games yet. Iown a 40gb fatass. But i can still browse the internet and stuff like that.
So:
-Can't play bayonetta, all trophies from bayonetta are gone
-Can't log in to PSN (gives error 8001050F)
-Clock reseted to 01/01/2000 (when I looked)
-I own a 40Gb fatass model
So basicly the same probs as everyone else. They better fix this quickly. I want my trophies back. Also will Battlefield Bad Company 2 be released soon. I want to play it but if I can't log in... :(
i dont... 80 gb... the big black beauty XD.. but now's no time for jokes! our gaming is at stake!!!.... too dramatic? anyway.... no slim.dusty594na i would say that is about rite
having this same problem right now...i have all my trophies but i cant log into PSN, i cant play anything i purchased from the store, and my themes are corrupted. anyone know if this is scheduled maitenence?
its the new BLACK FRIDAYYes I have the same problem Feb. 28 2010. Makes you wonder if that date has anything to do with it.
peacee

We can only hope that it's not a system killing problem. If it is.. we blame you! jk[QUOTE="saosurvive"]
