Same deal here with my fat PS3 but the odd thing is that our newer slim PS3 can still
get out to PSN and PS Home off the same network, router, etc.... same network that the fat
PS3 does. Thought it was the fat system having probs until I read the fellow gamer
posts.... Will wait and see. Sux
As others have mentioned, they are aware of it. Just spoke to a rep from Sony on the phone. It's a server issue and depending on when you created your PSN, the information may be on a server that is affected. I asked why slim versions were on and older generation systems were not. Her response? Newer created PSN accounts may all be on a certain server that is not affected while the older gens may be on the affected servers. So, depending on when you created your account and where you are, you may be able to sign in. Hope this helps with the mystery...hideki_usagiThis still doesn't make sense. Why would PSN servers affect offline consoles?
CORRECTION: My source was wrong. IGNORE THIS!
Sony guys posted on twitter: http://twitter.com/SonyPlayStation/status/9801870518
It's a worldwide issue, cause I'm from Brazll and I'm getting the same message from you guys from Canada (congrats for the hockey gold medal), US, Sweden, NZ and so on. Let's hope the tech guys on PSN can fix this out soon.
Best, every1.
Im calling it right now...its a firmware issue with "legacy PS3's" in which the "leap year" transition was not coded right, which has taken down the older units. I have a few friends who have the slim and it works fine, but my 60GB is down and now all my heavy reain data is corrupt. What leads me to believe this is that my PS3 has been offline for quite a few days, and like others, jsut started getting random errors thrown at me for things like trophies, psn themes corrupted etc. The biggest hint was the fact that my time and date were reset to Dec. 31 1999, which is a clear indication of a system time error, which of course I havent changed.
Whatever it is, Sony better have the apology notes along with a **** load of courtesy hand outs for this major **** up, because I have just lost a bunch of game data and other purchased items ( which you can just re download, but thats not the point).
Lets see what the have to say...
I know that Bad Company 2 is releasing within the next couple of days. I wonder if the server maintenance is tied to the game's release somehow. For anyone who has played the demo, it does seem to be a bit more demanding then MW2.
My husband and I just got ours literally two days ago and we're having the same problem so it's not the age of the account -_- Tried loading up Dante's Inferno, Same issues as everyone else. We could try it on my account that has no trophies, but I'm not starting it from scratch =P MGS4 works fine though >=| even though that's the hubby's game and not mine so he gets to play loljust something odd, i tried a different user on my 40gig ps3 fat and its working. tried using my account and error 8001050f.
also my secondary user was made about 3 weeks ago to try different factions in mag, so i wonder if the age of the account has an effect.

Everyone is having the same problem at the same time.... We all need to relax the problem should be fixed soon. Case and point when i got on this topic this topic has 3 pages 20 seconds later here we are at 16+ pages.
This really sucks that so many people has this prob all over the world.
My account is for about 2 years old (I bought my ps3 november 2007). I own a 40Gb model.
Oh btw I live in The Netherlands
it's even worse for me, I can't sign in to the PSN, i can't play the Rock Band DLC because there's some message "the song data you were accessing has become unavailable" and my RB2 trophies are GONE! RB2 is the only platinum I have.. I hope these problems are related cause I don't care about the DLC but I do care for my platinum...
40GB Fatty here And i just made my account yesterday. I bought the ps3 and mag yesterday and today all i get is the 8001015F error wow is the psn network always like this???jbnettwats MAG like anyway. you played it yet??
No, not really...Yes I have the same problem Feb. 28 2010. Makes you wonder if that date has anything to do with it.
peacee
Guys and girls. Just turn off the system and leave it off. relax. the world hadnt end yet. sit down and roll one up. light a candle. inhale. exhale. turn it back on tomorrow. finger crossed. lol. Don't mess the ps3 more or youi will be sorry if you did. Hopefully Sony will solve the puzzle. Fat32... why. why. why. such old tech..
I was playing MW2 just this morning, and now I turn my 60gig refurbished PS3 on, and I get the same as most of you guys. IP address is good, browser works, I just get 8001050f when I try to log into PSN. I'm kinda relieved to hear about the simultaneous problem, but kinda worried too.
I am ******PISSED********. A network outage SHOULD NEVER CAUSE ME NOT TO BE ABLE TO PLAY FUQIN GAMES I PAID FOR. SONY NEEDS TO FIX THIS SO THIS BULL$hit DOESN'T HAPPEN EVER AGAIN, EVEN WHEN THERE'S AN OUTAGE.
Did anyone download God of War demo recently???ace1427ya but maybe cuz we all downloaded gow 3 demo that this happened
I know one thing, if it corrupts my Dragon Age: Origins file that has over 70 hours of game play (yeah, I know... It was a long winter break!) I'm going to lose my mind.
Ugh, I want to play Heavy Rain dangit!
