Ever bought a game because it got high player review scores then regretted it?

HOLY**** MAN! quit hating on killzone 2 you bash it every chance you get.

Yes alot of people will buy it because of it's graphics alone but just because THEY do doesn't mean that's all the game has to offer. I'm looking foward to kz2 because I liked the first one, OMG big shocker! And alot of other people did to, OMG another big shocker! Most people who say the first one sucked didn't even play it. And alot of people are looking foward to kz2 because of it's multiplayer also.

Grand Theft Auto IV, and Vice City.. both games i just couldn't play for more than an hour at a time.. never finished GTAIV, got soooo boring...

Also Halo on the original Xbox, its a shooter... great... what so special about that? :roll:

AC is Okay its not bad but if you were to try and do it all in one go i could see why you would hate it. I play it in spurts. beat two towns, go play other games, go through a few more towns, play other games, . . .

Yes. I honestly regret buying Shadow of the Colossus. It was a boring game. Only things I like in SotC is the sceneries/landscape and graphics. For me it's more fun just walking around than fighting colossi. SotC's graphics is one of the best IMO. :)

I also kinda regret buying God of War. For me it's like a Onimusha clone. Kill enemies then absorb souls to upgrade weapons and refill health. Gameplay is way too linear. Only thing I like in God of War is the story.

Well - yes and no. I bought the Warhawk bundle pretty much only for the bluetooth headset knowing that Warhawk probably wouldn't be my type of game and I was right. However, this came at a time when the only good PS3 game available was Resistance, and I had already played the hell out of that game, and I honestly wanted to give Warhawk a chance, but it just ended up being a big chaotic cluster****.

As for some of the other games mentioned in this thread - I don't have Call of Duty 4 and I dislike it - I don't have Assassin's Creed but I really want it, and the same thing goes for Shadows of the Collossus. I own and love God of War 1 and 2, and I'm still considering Grand Theft Auto IV when the price drops.

I didn't like GTA4 as much as i thought I would at first it was ok but the controls are terrible. And why does every one keep picking on assassins creed that was one of my favorite games ever.cellphone123456

By the way, I've played Assassin's Creed at a friend's house and I'm just addicted to exploring the cities and killing guard after guard after guard. At this point, I don't really care how bad the missions are because the epic exploring and satisfying yet simple combat are worth $30 to me. :D

O please you act like you didn't have it coming to you. This topic is referring to games that have been bought and then regretted. So what do you do? You bring up killzone2 out of the blue to piss people off just so you could get in an argument.

Silent-hal was referring to games that were already out and people said they were bad. Killzone2 isn't out yet, so anyone who says it sucks is an arrogant fool.

I was "aiming" at you because out of everyone here, you were the only one to mention a game that isn't out yet, which for a topic like this was unnecessary.
