In all honesty, I know we had a handheld attempt with Liberty City Stories, but I also wouldn't mind a REAL full on Italian/Sopranos style game. That said, Yakuza/Triads first please. The new Yakuza game showed that even on aging hardware, that arena definitely has legs.
should be more than 1 city, 1 in asia (like china), 1 in europe (like Italy), 1 in America (like LA)... so they'll prefer the bluray dicslaptop12
Very interesting idea. It would also put airports in an interesting role within the game, and totally functional airports give rise to cool mission ideas.
I do sort of fear that it may get overwhelming, as some were already overwhelmed by San Andreas (i enjoyed it though, and missed those highway areas in GTa IV). I really hope GTA IV's scaling back was more Rockstar getting accustomed to the new hardware more than it was Rockstar's new method.
I think London would be a good choice. Chicago, Toronto and Philadelphia would all feel to similar to New York. And the problem with doing Tokyo or Paris is that you couldn't really have the characters speak English, especially on the radio stations. London would feel really unique.
I want them to do Belfast. a nice recreation of gangs etc. of 'the troubles' would be kinda cool. alternatively, they could ignite hatred and dissolve the St. Andrews Agreement which has finally brought peace. actually, scrap that idea.

I recon they go to Manchester or Liverpool, gangs are rife round there. you shopuld be able to either pick from a load of characters or create one, from America, england, ireland, eastern europe, france, etc. America's had like nine games set there, give someone else a turn! China or Japan would be kinda cool... but character creation would kill...
Vice City is mentioned in GTA IV... Something along the lines of Neiko needing a vacation... (His cousin mentioned Vice City as a good place to vacation) Don't be surprised if Neiko ends up in Vice City (To try move on after his cousins death)... But their were different endings obviously.... So, it could be a completely new character but I think a return to Vice City is inevitable...

As Rockstar Games are recreating the Liberty City look, do you guys think they will do the same thing with Vice City and San Andreas? Or they'll do a diffrent city such as Chicago or Seattle, Or even a diffrent country?

What if they skipped over other countries and went right to OUTER SPACE! Oh man that would be awesome.
Vice City was one of my favorites of ALL GTA cities. San Andreas was great but simply had too much "blank" space, like fields of grass/weeds and mountainous areas. Personally I didn't like that. It does give a sense of freedom I guess but there's nothing to do in those areas but do donuts alll day.
Just imagine a Vice City on the PS3, 360 and PC. It'd be really cool to see some kind of upgraded Euphoria engine, meaning if you fly off a ramp in a car and land in a couple of palm trees, they'll react/break/swing realistically. In GTA IV they already did a good job on the physics but it would only be even better in a new installment.

I miss GTA SA, I get tired of the city pretty quick, and need changes. It was cool to just take a drive out in the forrest whenever the city got borring. So GTA SA with the same graphics and physics they used in the last one is good enough for me. But don't expect that to happen since GTA 4 was 12GB on PC, and it maxed out the dvd on the X360. And we know they won't make it for the PS3 alone.

Actually no regular GTA took place outside of Liberty City. GTA 1-4 are all in LC. The rest are really side stories. If I had to pick a repeat city, it would be San Andreas. I like the whole west coast vibe. I really wouldn't be surprised if they introduced a new city.
I like San Andreas the best of them. I like the idea of it being like a state it would be nice for the next one to have a coulpe major citys with some (farm lands) or some small towns in between the citys.
ya it would be cool if they did somewhere like Tokyo, New Orleans (mardi gras would be cool to see- haha), Ya seattle would be cool. Even Alaska, im just tired of Liberty City.
id definatly like to see more than one city in the next gta like SA but with each city being as detailed as the new liberty city, id also like some rural areas to mix things up. but i doubt thats gonna happen
I think ... 3 cities. Start in San Andreas, move to Paris, then to Vice City, but have it set in the current time, so you get to see places in Vice City like 30 years later.

i would love to see chicago... a different country would be great as well.. i do think they need to work on the mechanics before they worry where the game should be set...
I would suggest mabey something in South America or Asia like your a dude from the US who is lookin for a guy in Asia who ripped u off... like u can travel from Japan to China to Vietnam or just go back to a modern Vice City.. ahh good ol times huh? or Modern San Andreas...
I guess you never played the expansion to the original GTA.. GTA: London. None of the GTA stories are linked.. they use different main characters. The game already has gone to another country, and it would be a nice change for it to happen again.
