To say that words mean nothing, is truly ignorant. I can agree with most points in your post however that one doesnt fly. The spoken and written word are very powerful. And being someone who has gone to jail for a mere prank phone call as a teen, words do mean something, and words alone can get people into a lot of trouble.

Law does not equate directly to correct. I happen to disagree with those laws, and I live in a country (currently) where telling a person they were an idiot for doing something stupid can get you in a lot of legal trouble. I say what I please still because that is what I believe is correct.

However if people are to believe that words can directly be offencive as opposed to the intent they are spoken with I would like to make it clear that I find the colour blue highly offencive and I'll thank you not to use it around me!

well i can see how it could be upsetting to hear that word thrown around allot, but look at it this way:

1.) gay means happy, and a **** is a cigarette, since when did those words actually stand for gay and who had the authority to do so, just think of what they really mean and it shouldn't bug you

2.) colored people are still berated with racial slurs today, they received the same rights as everyone else a long time ago, but those insults still hang around, my point is that you should be more focused on gay rights" then you are about a slur, you have a chance to change laws not minds, and when homosexuals have the same rights as others those insults will still be around you just have to look at history to see that fact.

3.) those kids running around those games yelling slurs trying to piss people of are still virgins and their balls haven't dropped yet, you should feel sorry for them, not yourself, maybe when they finally get the chance to dip their stick they might actually grow up.

And youre not right. Look out your window, look at the sky and earth. Tell me science can be that perfect. Last time i checked most science experiments usually explode. Or takes them 50 years to figure out.... And tell me how a book about the God of the whole universe is not historic? It contains the same kind of history that we read about today, but it's all history from way back then. So are you saying that past a certain time, things lose their right to be called history? By the looks of it i'd say you've never read much of the bible. It has geographical and city descriptions from their time period that agree with maps today. They didn't just make all that up. You'd have to be a complete fool to think they made every word of that up.

The bible isnt factual, and deffinatly not historic. Its more of a moral handbook.

And youre right. Look out your window, look at the sky and earth. Tell me god can be that messed up. Last time i checked most science experiments usually explode at first. And after 50 years to figure them out.... we can be confident they are correct. And tell me how a book about the God of the whole universe is true? It contains the same kind of 'history' that we read about today in comic books, but it's all lies from way back then. By the looks of it i'd say you've never read much of the bible. It has geographical and city descriptions from their time period that agree with maps today (Because cities do exist unlike white glowing men). They just make all that up. You'd have to be a complete fool to think it was true.
