Hasn't Sony always started out sluggish, but found it's pace down the road?

I am not saying Sony will win/lose the console race, but every time a Play Station console is released it starts out poorly. Then things change and get better for Sony. Which I think will happen with the PS3.

In 2008 Sony gets DMC4, MGS4, Little Big Planet, Killzone 2, (I believe) God of War 3, FFXIII(+ VS), Home, and that's just hyped games.

I love consoles that sell more then just shooters (as much as I love them), so yes, you all do know what console I love. But gratz to MS. In 2008 their hyped titles are Action games. Maybe now I'll pick one up.

He had a point, I was being a little fanboyish for a minute, lol. Glad to see the 360 is getting other games then just shooters, since I've played the genra to death... x_X;;

PS3 will be fine. Especially after Metal Gear Solid 4, Killzone 2, Gran Turismo 5, Tekken 6, Little Big Planet, and Final Fantasy XIII come out. That is the high profile exclusive lineup for 2008.

I find the PS3 lineup of games to be far more interesting than the 360 lineup. I have 10 PS3 games: Uncharted, Guitar Hero 3 (which I should've gotten on 360), Ratchet and Clank Future, Call of Duty 4, Warhawk, Resistance, Fight Night, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Heavenly Sword, and Oblivion.

I just bought a 360 and am struggling to figure out which game to get for it. My friend loaned me Halo 3...it's not bad...not 9.5 quality either...especially compared to Call of Duty 4...Can't figure out whether I should get The Orange Box, BioShock, or Mass Effect yet...

Like I said before PS3 will be fine. I will continue to support it because it's a kick ass system.

Well Sony will pass Micro, And not because their doing well, Micro is just doing that bad as of late. But to catch Nintendo. Can that little thing and its gimmick work for 7 years? I say if the GameBoy can the Wii can. So yes Nintendo will win. Sony Second for the first time. And Again Micro in last, they just get killed outside the US. Its going to be MGS4 wold for the PS3. Same with FF, FF could even go 60 and it wond not sell the world, like FF for the PS3 will. But the world also likes its little Wii alot. And can you imagin if they ever use the cell latter on what happens lol. So they'll do good, but wont pass the wii.

Give me the defintion of"hardcore." I do not want to get this thread lock, but the all the consoles have genres that appeases to all who enjoy a certain system.

Wii is faceing the same problem that PS3 had been for a while, and it's lack of game development. Wii has so many possiblilities, and no one is working with it. In the end it's not "What system has better graphics" or anything, it's about what system has a larger list of games that the player will like, which is a small part of the reason 360 is doing so well. A one year head start gave MS Gears of War, which was a system seller.

Not games, but system. The Cell is one hardcore piece of game processing. And the planet knows if they ever get people ejected "edit lol" educated enough behind it. Graphics's wise the PS3 will fly past all 3 like nothing. Ask any employee at IBM about what games the public see's now, and what they know it can do. They'll laugh at even Cod4. So Sony has that as the true hardcore system latter on threw this gen. But I still think the compacted and comfortable Wii holds on this time.

Considering avatars are restricted to HOME issued customizations and private media is only displayed in personal "homes" I don't think that will be an issue.

With the multi-media aspects of the PS3 that is why I created this topic. A person can have a gaming console, play moives, stream videos, voice chat, music, internet bowser all in their living rooms will push sells. Although, the price for it is hefty.

I think Home can be used as an advatage just as much as an exclusive game.
