An online community were if you want to share dvd's or in this case Blu-rays with friends they could hope in your room and watch it if they didn't want to buy the movie.Â
Plus, getting to store pictures you have taken to ur pictures is nuts. Could be a simple pic to one of you flippin the bird. I love all of it.

Yeah, that's what I'm looking forward to. I have some very close friends who play PS3 and who live out of state. It could be a lot of fun. I doubt I'll spend hours in it, but it's a good place to meet before a raid or something.

the sims is a game, this isnt. last i checked, you couldnt actually play games in the sims, nor could you watch movies. you still watch the movies and play the games full screen, think of it as a vehicle to get your there. rather than having a beat up '79 pacer to get you there, you get a corvette. if you dont like it, they wont force you to use it, and you can still use their great online service as it is.

Look bud.. I would have a PS3 if it wasn't $600, simply cannot afford it right now.. I can still talk about the console if I want. On these boards, I talked about the PSP and 360 years before I got them. I wish I could have every console, but I just can't.. To make you happy.. I don't like the matchmaking stuff on DS, I dont like that my 360 broke once (tho fixed for free), and I dont like that my PSP thumb nub moves to the left constantly. Quit being such a fanboy.. no one has played Home yet. You think it looks cool, I simply don't... we are both basing it on something we haven't played.

It IS like Habahotel and tose types of games, but keep in mind that those games are hugely popular. Second can't you see how they use the awsome power of the cell to imbed video and HD content. 360 and Wii can't do that. The customization that Home gives a player is a million times more in depth than Mii, and 360 has nothing of the sort except maybe, Oh look I can change theis tiny 150x150 image of me that I can choose from a small list of 100 images. And let not forget that Home hs in it arcade machines. Not a hafe assed "pay me $10 and play this game" that M$ has. Its totlay itagrated. The user created content is unparalleled. Remember that PSN is Open, meaning its content is not contolled by Heir Gates. The final verdict is, Home is coming whether you like it of not. And sure, its not %100 original, but that isn't everything. They have taken the best of everything and put it togeather. After All "A smart person finds the solution by trying many different ideas. it looks very cool...and in the sims i didnt know you could watch hd movies and communicate with anyone you walk past!...its a fresh take on something no one has done before its not a answer to M$ its something new and the wii's format is similar to the ps3 so its not to that either...dont hate on it untill you can get your hands on it...one word FREE

i've seen a lot of 360 users liking the idea of Home. I think it is better then achievements.

i think it looks awesome and the movie theater, arcades, pool and bowling just looks plaine AWESOME and its free. The only thing im worried about is that if you want to watch a movie at the theater or play a game you might have to walk a couple of minutes to get there and then some more to actually watch it.. It might just be a couple of minutes but i know it will get annoying when all you want is to press a button and watch a movie before bed :P (but i think SONY knows about that and does something about that)

If you're going to compare home to the SIM's or MMO's, then I can say that Halo was basically just Goldeneye. Hell! You can even say that Goldeneye was just Wolfenstein.
Every great idea is built off of another idea, if it wasn't then there would be no XBL (because SEGA was the first console developer to come up with the idea of online gaming).
Sony took several ideas and made it into one great idea, and everyone is afraid that Sony has finally done it, they've finally succeeded where Nintendo never has--pwning for 3 generations.

No, it's not a substitute for new a I.P., but come on it's a free Second Life. A huge part of the Second Life community are gamers, there's no doubt Home will draw a lot of people to the PS3. People somehow got this notion of it replacing regular games, but in reality it's just meant to challenge XBOX live. Why are PS3 gamers complaining we finally have something better than XBOX live, I mean what was the XBOX without its online? A beefed-up PS2 with fewer games. So, I think this is a pretty big deal.
