How Awesome Do You Believe Metal Gear Solid: Rising Will Be???

If its a playable version of the Raiden/Vamp battle in MGS4 it will be awesome.

I thought it was a great game personally. Had tons of fun with it.

That's hard to say when we have not seen anything about it.

Well..seen as kojima is not going to be working on this mg...i won't be looking forward to it.....but on the other hand I can't wait to get my hands on Metal Gear Solid: peace walker (Kojima is working on this game).....because so many gamers that don't own a Ps3 and so many other gamers that want another MG they chose to make METAL GEAR RISING.. No Kojima?? No metal gear...im sorry but thats just how i feel...

I think it will be amazing, I love MGS4, definitely want to go buy it (thought Ive already beaten it and we already have it at my house), and wish to buy the Essential Collection and play the others. Well its a lot newer than MGS4 so in theory the graphics should be better, hopefully the fact that its multi platform wont effect the graphics.

Only played the 2nd MGS game but i have all of them including the remake of the first game on gamecube coming.

I refuse to play mgs1 on PS1, not with those graphics. Im going to play them in this order

mgs twin snakes on gamecube

mgs2 and 3 on ps2

mgs 4 on ps3

The PS1 game holds up remarkably well (and I didn't play it back in the day). Sure, the graphics are bad, but it's just as dramatic as the newer games, and the cutscenes have that same Kojima style (which can't be said for Twin Snakes :roll: )

As far as Rising, Kojima is overseeing it, he just won't be taking as much of a hands-on approach. The man who is however has been one of the leads on the last few Metal Gear Solid games and directed Zone of the Enders 2: The 2nd Runner. It's in safe hands.

I haven't ever played any of the Metal Gear Solid games, so I wouldn't know how this one will be. I'm tempted to buy them all though.

If Raiden is in it, then they should make it to really be able to be a ninja, I mean proper. With high jumping, walking on rooftops, disappearing, smoke bombs, shadow movements to skeak behind enemier. he shoild really be like Shinobi or something, and be able to do all the stealth we are used to. I would really be disappointed if they pull the MGS2 on us, where you play snake which feels like a wooden puppet (I love the series, but when you play, he always feels like that) and than afterwards he is able to do all that cool stuff. Kogima is a god in the industry, but now would be the time to emprove the engine.gestah

LOL sereuisly they just screwed it up by putting in raiding, and making it for teh 360, i mean seruisly, RAIDEN, XBOX360 ROFL but all the other MGS games are pretty good.

As much as I love Metal Gear, I'm not going to let it blind me. It's supposed to be an action game and there is absolutely no info on it aside from a picture of a cyborg Raiden.

Give the game a chance... don't put it down even before you get the chance to play it... after all, it's story is connected to the series...

I'm hoping that this is will be a good one... maybe kinda MGS+Tenchu/NGS...

Actually, he brought over alot of the MGS4 team to help with Peace Walker while the new engine was being developed for Rising and KP's other upcoming games. And Peace Walker is getting close to being finished right? They'll be back on Rising, don't worry. I'm pretty sure they don't have a strict "team a, team b" kind of thing at KP (I'm a KP Report follower!)

i can't wait for it to come out i think it will be awesome but they changed "tactical espionage action" to "lightning bolt action" is it telling us its a different style of game to the other mgs? or just a clever play on words?
