Sure do. Just wish more video stores would carry Blu-ray. But it hasn't become the standard yet. Waiting for that day when it does.. so the high price point will drop. :)

About all I do is watch movies on m PS3... Camped out 3 damned nights so I could get a glorified DVD player at launch... Anywho. I get all the superhero or big action movies on BD. Anything else I get DVD's. My top 10 BD movies would probably be: 1: Superman Returns 2: The Watchmen 3: V for Vendetta 4:Wanted 5:Batman Begins(I like it better than the dark knight) 6:Iron Man 7:The Dark Knight 8:Star Trek 9:The Incredible Hulk 10:300 Also the Shining is pretty cool on BD. They did a really good job on the transfer. It looks amazing. Can't go wrong with the Die Hard BD set either.

If you shop around you can sometimes find decent deals. I won't buy used DVD's but with BD's hardened coating, I don't have a problem buying BD's used as I have yet to see one with a scratch.

It is still a good 4-5 years minimum from becoming the standard.

I am currently spending an absolute fortune updating my DVD collection to Blu-Ray.

Some films just look terrible on HD and aint wiorth the money (ocean's 12) and some older ones are truely excellent (Any Given Sunday)

I don't watch them on my PS3, i watch way too many films and i think my PlayStation gets worked hard enough with games.

Recommendations?

depends what you like. for just how great they look, i would suggest Mongol, V for Vendetta, Gamer, Sexy Beast.

all i watch is bluray movies. i've been spoiled by HD and i dont think i could ever watch a DVD again =P.

my collection is not big but its getting there (i own about 44)..but i dont watch them on my PS3, i have a separate Bluray player for that. i dont want to use my ps3 for everything cuz then i'll just be wearing out the Disc Drive faster that way which might lead to problems down the road.

I bought a Blu ray movie, looked at it very carefully on my 32" 720p TV, and came to the conclusion that I can't see any difference between Blu ray and regular DVD. Maybe if I had a much larger, 1080p set, but on my equipment, it doesn't make any sense to spend the extra money.

I highly recommend District 9. It looks awesome on Blu Ray and it's a great movie! Speed Racer looks BEAUTIFUL but the movie was ok.

I only watch movies on Blu-ray. I won't go near a DVD anymore.

If you know how to shop for them, Blu-rays are pretty close in price to DVDs. It's just about paying attention and shopping around. I've got around 200 Blu-rays, and I paid pretty much the same for them as most do for DVDs. A lot of them (the Blus) were even cheaper, actually.

Yeah I agree man. I bought four used Blu Rays for $20. (Iron Man, Body of Lives, Madagascar 2, and Lakeview Terrace. Another great place to buy Blu Rays would have to be Amazon.com

I have netflix, so I order blu rays all the time! I just finished watching the whole two seasons of Rome (HBO show) on blu ray and have also watched many others on blu-ray. Best way to experience a movie or show :).

Same for me until I started watching BR movies in 1080i. Big difference. Try it.

YE , hope Blu Ray movies price drops , i wish to afford more of them in future when price drops :)

I only buy BR since I got my PS3. However, I don't understand the comments about it being to expensive. I buy my BRs on launch day and find 9 times out of 10 they are only a couple dollars more. The last few I've bought (from Best Buy) were actually the exact same price as the DVD version if you bought it early.

The only time I've noticed a real difference in price is if you are looking at buying old movies that are just being converted to BR.

The advantage of buying a PS3 over a blue ray player alone is that the PS3 automatically downloads upgrades for the new movies unlike the BR player where you haveto plug it into the computer to do it

Pretty consistently for myself, at least one movie per week. Usually on weekends with friends, I can't honestly list how many I have seen but it's definitely over 35+ titles.

The most recent one: Sherlock Holmes - was absolutely amazing. Special features were packed with awesome info.

its was one of the final and deciding factors in my purchase of a ps3. blu ray is amazing! not a week goes by that i dont watch one.

i own over 30 blu rays and have three trilogys (res evil, pirates otc, underworld) i have never paid more than $20 for a single one. except for Black Dynamite, but thats well worth full retail imo.

ones id recomend according to your preferences TC.

- Transformers2 (sound & visuals are amazing, plus megan fox in hd = win)

- Watchmen (the directors cut gives you alot of stuff that they shouldntve left out)

- Troy (you can find for cheap, and it looks better than real life)

- Dark Knight (looks and sounds so incredible)

pretty much anything outdoors is going to look good as well, like: No Country for Old Men, Rambo, 3:10 to Yuma, Apocalypto, etc.

stay away from movies that are older and werent shot in hd. the slight upgrade they get doesnt do them justice compared to modern films. sure you can find some. i have The Fifth Element, and it looks pretty good for an older title, but its a gamble trust me.

Every movie I've rented since buying my PS3 was Blu-Ray, unless there was a shortage at the store.

This past month I've seen Sherlock Holmes and District 9. Both great movies, but I give the edge to Sherlock Holmes. Barely.

Blu-Ray on my PS3 on my Samsung 850 120z 46 inch TV is unreal. The Dark Knight in particular was amazing. But for real, I almost hate to go to the movies now when a Blu-Ray will maybe twice the price of a ticket and infintely better to watch in terms of quality.

I bought my PS3 in June 2007. I've been watching BR movies on it since day one. When I bought my PS3, I got X-Men 3 for free (bundled with PS3), I bough Talladega Nights and Kung Fu Hustle, and got Casino Royale for free for registering my PS3 on playstation.com. I've been regularly buying BR movies since then. I currently own around 50 BR movies. I find the best movies to watch on Blu-ray are movies with awesome special effects. I bought the BR version of There Will Be Blood. Should've just got the cheaper DVD version. But yeah, I love watching movies in HD. I've got a good size HD-DVD collection too.

Read through the Tier System for that site & decide which movies you wanna watch based on their reviews. Any movie in the Tier Zero (highlighted in blue) is the best blu-ray movie to experience in HD. It's a bit more precise so I hope this helps.

I got Transformers 2 as a present, its pretty on blue ray but I couldnt even finish the movie.

The dialogue is so terrible it sounds like its written by a 10 year old.
