Avatar will look so good on my projector in Bluray!

Projector? Bleurgh! However, HD projectors are a good alternative to HDTV, but don't even come close to plasma quality.

My projector cost over 3 grand, and is 1080p.

Wow! That's a lot for a hd projector. Anyway, my point still stands, projection will never beat the quality of a decent panel or any hd panel for that matter. The actual sharpness and quality isn't too bad, just the colour mainly. I stand by decent plasmas

I watch them, my library isn't large but it is growing. I also watch upscaled DVDs on the PS3.

I watch blu rays on my PS3 all the time. I buy them all on Amazon, where they average out to about $13 per movie whenever I purchase something. I remember buying a bunch of blu rays at once, around 20 or so and I saved a couple hundred bucks (I kid you not) because of Amazon. Plus it's nice to not have to pay tax and have free shipping due to the large orders. Best prices around and haven't ever had a problem with my orders.

The colous is great on mine. You can see the colour of blood spattering everywhere in SAW so well!

I highly recommend Planet Earth, it looks stunning in 1080p.

The Dark Knight, Star Trek and V for Vendetta are good.

Also pretty much all of the pixar movies are great.
