its probably because they were fans of PS1/PS2 Era, and now they've grown up so they continue to buy the PS3, along with other consoles if they so choose.  

That's how I started, with the PS1 and up. I'm 19 and have enjoyed all the Playstations. 

im surprised to see people over 30 playing playstation, then again it is a beast and can do more then just play games

I'm 30.

I own both a PS3 and 360 but I am getting tired of M$'s BS.  So the only reason I keep my 360 is for the over rated Halo. Can't wait for "Haze"!

wow. its an older audience than i suspected. though i see it makes sense. it does cost more so i cant see many younger people buying it. and im sure many grew up on sony. SNES was my first system. PS1 my second PS2 my 3rd. xbox my 4th. and now i have 360. so but it does make sense that if you grew up on it. you would just stick with it. TC you should do makes this a poll do a few choices of age range. and then do it in the xbox and nintendo forums. just to see how they compare. just would be interesting to see who buys what.blackacidevil96
