[QUOTE="stefanlek"]its intresting to see how the average ps3 gamer is older now then the average ps2 gamer. Why do u guys think that is, the price or are sony aiming the ps3 at and older target audience now?Medicman_G

stupid question, PRICE TAG
That and the fact that games have gained a greater acceptance in our society, and that, with the advent of higher-quality games, they have become a genuine source of entertaiment. As such, many people who play these games are older, both because they have had the time to enjoy good games while they were young, and that the PS3 is aimed towards a higher age group.
Question. Why do you care so much how old people are that play games? Im not saying thats a bad thing im just saying that it doesn't make any sense to me.Just wanted to know how old the average ps3 gamer is.

I am 32 and I dont plan on stopping anytime soon. I have been gaming all my life and even still have an original PONG that we got in 1980. I dont know why anyone would be suprised because I guarantee there will be many more from this generation that will continue to play as the technology gets better. I have a family and I am successful but I still need a little R & R and what could be a better way to do that then gaming?

I don't know about you buddy, but I always wanted to know how old some of these gamers are... and no, I'm not some pedophilic low-life that you see on friggin "How To Catch a Predator."  I just despise how the media or perhaps just the older demograph (45 +) look down on people who love video games. It's reaffirming to witness and evaluate just how wide the age range really is. Oh well to quit my rant... I'm 31, played Pac-Man & Galaga at the coin laundry in '85. I played SM1, Ikari Warriors, Kung Fu, and Double Dragon on NES in '89-91. I played SNES, owned and played PS1, then PS2, and here I am with PS3. Video games should not be called video games anymore. They should be referred to as interactive electronic arts. Think about it. Peace out, and long live technology... the only industry where the prices tend to go down rather than up (petroleum, anyone?)
