If you're on a 60 dollar budget...which one would you pick?

Heavy Rain, easily. FFXIII will be good... but after playing Persona 4 JRPG nirvana has already been reached.
Probably FF13, its been so long since I've actually played a final fantasy game so it will be good to get into another one. Heavy rain does look pretty cool though, and i might pick it up at a later date.
neither for 60 bucks. im going to get heavy rain but once the price drops. as for ff13, that game looks like absolute trash. i gave up on final fantasy after 9 (and 7 is my fav game of all time)Laxer04
What exactly about the game makes it look like "absolute trash"? If you're not interested in the game that's fine, but I'm just curious as to what makes it "absolute trash". And do yourself a favor and play FFX. Then if you REALLY don't like that game, then give up on FF.

Quite true. P4 is my second favorite game of all time behind only FFX. I'm not sure if FFXIII will be able top either of those, but I know I'm going to enjoy the hell out of the game.

Persona 4....*Wipes tear of epicness* But yeah, Final Fantasy hate is something that almost always sounds silly. It's like people are hating on the newer games of the franchise because it does things....dare I say....BETTER than their precious JRPGs. That being said, Persona 4 is my favorite JRPG. :PHeavy Rain. Ive sort of gone off FF since I learned there are no towns.Big_Bad_SadThats pretty much what killed it for me, too. I was thinking the whole time 'Man, how awesome is the exploration going to be on this game since its on the PS3 and they've spent SOOO much time on it!? I bet there's going to be all kinds of side quests, an enormous cast of characters each with their own special abilities to really make for vastly diverse gameplay abilities, a huge world map with tons of beautiful towns and cities to wander through, and all this awesome stuff!!!!!" Come to find out.... It has none of that. Its just as story driven as Heavy Rain will be. From the reviews I've read FF13 is so linear you can't even turn in some places... Wow. I'll just wait til I get to hear more about it before I decide to buy it. I'm sure it'll be a good game, but a big reason I've been such a huge fan of FF all these years are completely absent from FF13. Sometimes the tried and true are better left alone. Innovation isn't always the way.
[QUOTE="juden41"]Not either, probably. I don't really care about the gameplay in heavy rain, it sounds kind of limited, and Final Fantasy has been disappointing lately, since FF12.Texas2089Yes because there have been sooooo many FF games since XII.....
What I meant was, FF12 and the long release time is kind of killing it for me. Plus, the trailors aren't looking especially appealling. (good, but not Final Fantasy good)
Of course, I'll rent it and try it out, that would be foolish not to, I just don't feel as excited for this as some people are.
