Just finished Metal Gear Solid 4. I feel saddened now!!

As I completed the game I stopped for a while. The feeling was we may never experience a game like this again. There simply is no game like it out there and there never will be ( maybe a MGS 5 ). It has deeply rooted my justification for buying a PS3 just like I did with PS1 and PS2. The game had all emotions a person can express. Hideo Kojima - master of the arts of video game production. There will be no other developer like this guy and for that I solute you. And I hope we maybe can look forward to even a MGS5. MGS4 was an absolute success in my book and should be nominated and grab the title for Game Of The Year.

Anyone who felt the same way please give us your views.

It was fantastic , and definitely would deserve GOTY so far , but there a few months left in the year and other game releases so don't crown it just yet. Do that at the end of the year.

The GOTY is just my opinion which im certain will br possible. The game is excellent and for a site like gamespot which we complain to be in bed with M$ to give MGS4 a perfect 10 speaks volumes and it just isnt gamespot alone. You dont need a crystal ball.

Wow. Microsoft probably doesn't pay off every damned review site. You can't blame some low scores on MS paying off everyone in existance.

i want more MGS but at the end i felt sad, cause i think this is the end! =( but i hope its not.

i agree. except that MGS4 deserves game of the genre.

I thought the same thing when I beat the game. It was(In my opinion) the best game ever made so far this gen, or maybe throughout gaming period.

The story was flawless and so touching.

This game certainly qualifies as a GOTY contender.

This is true. I share the opinion with the original post. MGS4 is one of the main reasons why I still play games (27 yrs and counting). This is one of the few hobbies besides reading, where I can travel around the world, back in time, be a solider, laugh, cry, fall in love, and save the world in a day (or a few weeks).

What's even more interesting to me is Kojima does not know me from ADAM (no pun intended), but he has been able to entertain me for over 21 years. He and his staff's creativity continues to excite both old and new fans. MG has become a universe of its own. Love it or hate it MG deserves every right to be classified as one of the top series of games ever created. Was MGS4 perfect? No way, however. IMO, MGS4 comes very close to perfection. GOTY? Maybe... But from where I sit and for many others who own and have yet to own a PS3, there is no other choice for GOTY...hands down.

ANYWHERE I go on the PS3 forum you are ALWAYS there saying NEGATIVE things while people argue with you, you aren't half bad at arguing BUT WHYYYY and I know this because of your picture with that hat lmao

It's not like hes saying it as factual information, its just how a lot of people feel, nothing has compared to the MGS series in terms of emotional value and story, why do you think so many people are obsessed with it, it is one of a kind and it stands on its own. If you want to get technical then their won't be a game like that again or a developer like him because everyone is unique, if someone else did MGS4 it would of been totally different then how it turned out, he is a unique individual and therefore no one will be him again and that means no one will think like him again and as a result his work will not be duplicated again. Now if their is going to be an equally good developer or game that's a different story because that wasn't said, just "not a game or developer like this again." I think their will be more great games to come, will they be better? I don't know...but theirs always a FEW (most games suck in my opinion) good ones.

I have to agree with you my friend. Same feelings and I am REALLY disappointed in today's LAZY developers and this DAMN generation overall that is about ONLINE and upgrading graphics and forgetting about the single player(storymode) experience and replayability in them. We need more people like Kojima and we need more games like MGS4. And let me tell you something pal, you won't find any other game this year or next that will reach the level of EPICNESS that MGS4 offered. Another game might come out with better graphics and the ULTIMATE online but MGS4 is a balanced game OVERALL in all of a game's aspects that range from STORY, CUTSCENES direction, Hollywood feeling when watching the cutscenes, Hollywood music(Harry Gregson-Williams), STUNNING detailed sound in the game, graphics, art, face models, character models, weapon models, 70 weapons in the game with customization, FREEDOM to choose between STEALTH and run and gun. Many many NEW stealth features that pushed STEALTH gaming to the next LEVEL, 3 different 3D cameras etc..........................MGS4 is balanced, period.

Now as far as which game could really surpass MGS4 in all of its aspects please read:

MGS4 is certainly GOTY quality. It can become GOTY if the upcoming games are not better than it. In my opinion, MGS4 was one of the best games that i ever played

I felt the same way. Especially if u played mgs1,2 and 3 the game affects u emotionally untill the end, because mgs4 is connected to all mgs series. The game is full of emotions. Simply THE BEST!!!

I actually enjoyed MGS3 more. But MGS4 was still brilliant.

The next MGS game will need to do much better than MGS4 did, because to tell you the truth I don't think the next MGS game will be as good as MGS4 is now. This is the challenge that Kojima production will face when they start making the next one.Star650

That's what people said about MGS4 after the release of MGS3 and it turned out to be STUNNING in every sense of the word. Don't worry, as long as Kojima has a hand in the next MGS, everything will be fine. I can't wait to see what MGS5 would be like man! wow hype goes back on the boards! Its now the greatest game iv ever played, before it was "i cant decide, half-life 2? abe? FF7? warcraft 3? rome:TW"....now its "definitely mgs4". i have played lots of other DAM good games to....

The game just involves you SO well, i didn't cry (:roll: ), I was smiling, every plot twist, every shock, I was smiling so much i could break my face, because i knew it was SO well put together, SO engaging....

Also in **SPOILER** the microwave scene, i was screaming. part of it was the pain in my arm. the other part was the fact i couldn't lose, i was worried the game would give me a bad ending, and i just wanted to get to the end, i didn't was to see "continue" i couldn't let it end there.... lol

I sold the game after I finished Act 1. Not my cup of tea.
