Official HOME Thread (ALL DISCUSSION HERE!)

Wacky i've got the same error code . I live in the UK and since yesterday haven't been able to get on . Got Beta though , if that makes a difference ? Any ideas why we can't get on though ?matt_542

No idea mate. Well actually after trying at least 50 times to connect, I finally got on only to be booted off 30 mins later. From what I saw, I loved. I was dancing to the psp commercial for a bit, and I had just downloaded the theatre and then I got disconnected. I like the game, but if I can't play it for a certain amount of time then it kinda sucks. Hopefully there'll be an update.

How do I allow sub accounts to access Home? Can I change a sub account to a master account?

Isn't Home supposed to be an OPEN beta???

Everyone else has stated problems about the setup, but I don't even have the home logo above the playstation store like everyone else does so I can't even download it. How the heck can I access Home?:(

"HOME SUCKS! and its a BS move by Sony, the **** were they thinking? lol If they really wanted something successful out of this they should have made it GTA San Andreas style, were you can workout, eat, run around in a city, with some sim's elements like working to get game money to make your apartment look better, they could even include guns and violence to really make it nice, like giving an extra map for this kind of stuff. This way they would actually have a shot at whatever they are trying to accomplish with home, otherwise there is no way in hell they are going to attract casual players to this lol Anyone who knows better will know that going to a real mall is 1000 times better than being a virtual one.."

YEA! that right thats my rant and I want to know if you guys think so as well ( I know there are a few "die-hard" fans out there today, and to you supporters I say this... GAME ON! )

Point to all this is simple. Home should have been a mini-game to all games that would be supported, not just a fancy chat with chess and checkers that you can already play on MSN and what not. By supported games I mean major titles and Im not talking about what they did with Uncharted and Far Cry, Im talking about a real mini game were you get guns in both those maps for the mini game, and sure leave the bar for talking and checkers, but also put a door that leads to action, this way I am almost positive that it would make for a better application, because you would have the social part for those who want the chat, and you would have FUN mini-games as well as a better way to build your character (GTA SA) style with some SIM's elements.

Home didn't exceed all the hype. It was in development for more than 2 years and they have a nerve to label it a beta still. Home is out, what you see is what you get. They will add more items and such just like PSN/XMB and XBL/NXE but nobody is calling those betas. Home is a novelty and will eventually wear off. Atleast it's free because I don't think anyone would pay even a penny for this.

I DONT FIND THIS STICKY HELPFUL AT ALL! All the questions don't get answered and they get forgotten just like mine. How do I let sub-accounts play it's not like my sub-account is immature or something I'm 16 it says you have to be 13 and over but I don't see the option to allow me to play.G-Legend

My initial thought on HOME was that it was a rip off of Second Life. Sure, there is a lot more to do in SL, and this is moderated slightly better, but thats what I honestly thought. I decorated my apartment all cute, then went out the the central area.

All in all, I'm loving HOME, but it's the same as any other game. Watch out ladies, all the 13 year old boys are out to get you.

you could probably use the voice emulator (or whatev its called) and change your voice to sound like a dude

I figured out how to play on sub-accounts. And it's not my fault I have a sub-account my brother made his account and I made mine when we first got our PS3 back in January 2007. Ever since then there have been no problems up until now with Home. And I don't want to use his because i've already established all my friends on mine and trophies and my username is way better than his. I figured out how to play though so it's all good it's just annoying because I have to go into his account everytime I want to play Home just to change the parental controls and come back onto mine.

U see it started out in the morning of 12 December. I was shocked to see home is available. I even scream out loud till my brother get mad. BUT I WAS Pissed off when I click HOME icon it said "This content can't be access through your account"-quote. I was f****** pissed off. I mock SONY times and times again. Then I'll chill after I played Call Of Duty World At War for some times. Then, I came back to try again but still the same result. I've been trying to access it everytime I start the system(PS3). Can u guys help me out?

PS- I'm from Malaysia. Not a Sub Account users. I had tried to use my mother account which is DOB on 25 November 1962. I don't know why this is happening. Can u guys give me the email of Sony Customers Service. I'm gladly to ask them politely on fixing this, unplayable HOME on their next system update. And more features of course.Don't say I'm selfish. Trust me I'll ask for some features as well.

I only got to play it for 10 minutes before having to go out. When I came back, it didn't work, and it hasn't allowed me to log in since then (last night). I'm in the UK. It keeps saying either Network Error or Session Timed Out (which I've never understood). Any ideas?Razoroo

Did Canadians get shanked of another PS3 feature? since I can't find anything int he XMB, there is no more updates that the PS3 can't find. And I can't find anything int he PS3 store. So am I doing something wrong or did sony effed us over again?Wula_
