Hey every1! i have a 32'' HDTV..was wondering wts the resolution tht best fits my tv if i wntd to make a wallpaper?!
i need help i downloaded the compiler but how do you make the themes cause i open the compiler and a black box opens then dissapearsShacklin
In the sample folder there should be an XML document. Once you've edited your icons in that same sample folder, drag and drop the XML document over the compiler icon and it will create the .p3t file which is the one you need to install on the PS3.

If its widescreen then I'd say 1920x1080The_Rick_14
Actually there are only a couple of 1080p 32" TVs. If 1920x1080 doesn't match up right, try 1268x720.
request: can anyone get the mgs4 wallpaper from the mgs4 theme made by m0dus

I said 1080 since it will just resize it down and actually have a better resolution. Technically as long as it has the right aspect ratio (16:9 for widescreen usually) it will fit.
Can someone at least make an attempt at my request?dragonleader33
if nobody has done or said anything, it usually means "ROFL! right. as if i would waste my time on something so weird" ... j/k .. but try making one yourself. and if finding the pictures is impossible. then why on earth should anyone else look for them? :P
Because I dont have the time or patience. Also it seems that a lot of you here are good at making them and I would rather have something that looks good then somethingI made.dragonleader33
You have to know, though, that this takes time. The creator's time. For me, personally, I don't have the extra time to make themes for others that I don't have interest in. I love the PAckers. If I create a theme for myself on the Packers and someone else happens to like it, great. they can use it. If not, its up to them to find something they like. Its not my job to create something for them.
Get it?
Do you think i went to school to figure out how to make these? No. I taught myself. And you should do the same.
Can anybody tell me what Im doing wrong? I have a PS3 folder in my usb drive with the subfolder named THEME and the themes in the folder.
SO what am I doing wrong?
Here's an awesome MGS4 wallpaper. *Not made by me* I found it saved on my computer and don't remember where I got it from.

Are you sure you have .p3t files saved?
** for HD displays only**
Here's a link to a Tenacious D theme I made WITH SOUNDS!!!!!!

On the topic of theme sharing specifically the transfer of such, I note that the magazine PSM3 includes some themes on its cover DVD with instructions to transfer the files across to a USB stick in the correct PS3\THEME structure. So my question is why the need to transfer at all; can't they be placed on a DVD in that structure and read that way?
Just curious if anyone knows the answer.

My guess would be just that the PS3 doesn't rip files from DVDs?

Which if true poses the question why not? It limits what magazines can put directly onto discs, and for those few who own a PS3 and don't have a computer, the official magazine can't even put system updates or official themes on to their discs for direct installation.
hey can mediacoms dsl work on the ps3 networkmad_max08

A valid point.
It probably won't go anywhere, because this "age of technology" is all about making the consumer stay up to date (better internet, USB drives).
