My friends and I still play it to begin each drinking night .. always do a World Tournament with Canada .. :P We have 5 people playing on one team .. we have some great chemistry now ..

I can't wait to Fash Wash players after the whistle .. can't wait for First Person Fight .. battles against the boards .. goals from my knees .. shoot the puck at the goalie after the whistle and cause a fight or get a penalty .. man I seriously can't wait for this game ..

And what's Fash Wash? But the rest sounds like a lot of fun. But I don't know if I'd have the budget to buy NHL 10, right after NHL 09, even though the new features look/sound awesome, the game is still the same, but hopefully someone in our 6 man crew will get NHL 10.

I voted for prototype because that and resident evil 5 are all I've played on that list so far. RE5 was ok but 4 was alot better imo. I've only played 30 minutes of Prototype, but it was an amazing 30 minutes......WOW!

Well this year they have worked out many kinks in the game .. Franchise is going to be super fun this year .. especially rebuilding my 49ers, with Shaun Hill as my highest rated QB at 69!! :lol: Oh how I feel for Crabtree ..

Killzone 2 is my 1st over inFamous as my 2nd purely on the fact that KZ2 has amazing multiplayer.
Both with amazing stories.

Prototype is a fun game, but story tellinggoes a long way with me.

other... i think Uncharted 2 or MW2... or for that matter bioshock 2

inFAMOUS for me.

Having your own personal tastes is nowhere near being crazy, dude! You, like everybody else, have the right to an opinion.

That being said, my favourite '09 game is inFAMOUS. I personally found Prototype disappointing.

Personally i hated Prototype so the best game i played so far would be inFAMOUS then killzone 2 for this year.. inFAMOUS gets my vote :)

1. Resident EVil 5

2. Killzone 2

3. Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice (It was a 2009 release in the UK)

4. Infamous

5... Possibly Prototype, but I've only played a bit of it. Doesn't quite match Infamous so far for me. I like platforming elements.

No matter what you do prototype is a crappy game, my vote gose to infamous

Played, and finished Prototype. Fairly average game i thought, nothing wrong with the graphics, and who ever said the buildings looked crap, yeah, i think the buildings in GTA4 looked better, but you have to dumb down the graphics for such a huge game anyway. It's a fun game, pretty frustrating at times. But it was worth a rent i thought, and maybe a purchase at a lower price. Game of the year? no way,cant believe some of you even considered it, i really cant see it being on the list of Game of the year, there's still some great games yet to come out this year.

Well its obvious your character models are gonna be good, but I see little to no improvements in terms of the buildings within the city. The city looks like its from PS2. Its just boxes ... its really sad. Albiet the rest of the game looks fine, but they totally copped out on the city. navstar29

Nope, even the city, while slightly lacking in detail, looks nowhere near that of a city in a sandbox PS2 game. There's no way. If that's capable on PS2, I never would've bothered investing in the current generation of systems.

For real. Sure, I still enjoy a lot of vintage stuff, but I'd be sorely disappointed if everything on PS3 looked like stuff from the 32-bit era. If graphics didn't matter there would be no need to advance the technology. Graphics do so much for the gamer as far as giving the game a more realistic feel and submerging you into the action. Poor graphics, after playing some of the masterpieces we've seen this gen, can kinda alienate you from the game. Same goes for poor gameplay. Both were poor in Prototype for me, and I found it impossible to enjoy. If they were more polished then I may have liked it. If graphics do matter to me as well as many others then I'd say graphics matter. We're gamers, too. Nephilim83

GOTY nominees are usually way overrated anyway. Did you agree with XPLAY on Fable 2 last year? I bet there are many GOTY's you personally don't agree with. Usually the overhyped games win it. Real hardcore gamers games, like the Deus Ex's, System Shock 2's, and so on and so forth, usually don't win, because it, much like polls, is a popularity contest, and doesn't always take the best into consideration.

Nah. I'll be keeping and enjoying all the great games on PS3, PC, 360, Wii, DS, PSP, and all the vintage systems.

Like i said, dude. Unrealistic detail and awesome water. The character models still need some work. When you're actually playing the game it still feels like an everyday FPS to me. Anyway, I never implied that anyone should sale their consoles or stop playing vintage games. i simply said that graphics ARE important, and for a very good reason. Crysis is a good example. Withouth the graphics it'd just be another spin of the FPS genre, and wouldn't have gotten nearly as much attention as it did. You're just going the great lengths for the sake of argument.Nephilim83

Show me one in-game screen of a character model for a game on current generation consoles that looks that good. It can't be a cutscene, either. It has to be in-game, much like my screen. And the in-game character's face must show animations, much like mine does. It can't be a dead looking NPC.

And no, Crysis is a great game beyond its visuals. You'll see when Crysis 2 comes to consoles, cause it won't be able to fall back on its graphics. ;)
